Just as an aside is anyone here going to Glasto solo??

only if I get a ticket!!!  2 of my mates are going but are working through Festaff - wristbanding.

If I do actually manage to get a ticket... I'm not going to tell them.  I'm just going to text on the Wednesday telling them that 'apparently Jarvis is playing a secret gig in the Bimble Inn today at 6pm... workmate is his cousin'.... I'm then going to wait at the Bimble (they'e massive pulp fans so will defo turn up)... and ask some randoms to walk over to them and say "I have one very obvious, yet very penetrating question to ask.... DO YOU... REMEMBER... THE FIRST TIME?"  I'll then go jonny bollocks on them from behind.

My first year was 2011 and we watched Pulp at the Park... hence the reference.  Would be sooo good to surprise them.

From personal experience. You spend tuesday night/wednesday morning walking the perimeter. I'm sure plenty of people get ripped off though.

Ripped off as in half the money upfront and no-show?

Surely security are approachable in the witching hours... handfull of £20's to some kid being paid buttons.

Are everyone else's moral standards slipping the closer we get to Zero Dark 30? B)

I'd be trying to arrange to hand them a pretend ticket in return for a wristband... Surely that wouldn't be too hard to arrange for a once off.

Is it not about time the BBC started some Glasto competitions? I've always had a ticket, so never really paid attention, but I am sure various radio shows usually do?

Last year they were the equivalent of next week (though I note radio 1 did a competition in Jan this year, so that may be them out).
It looked like they were live-on-air-quiz things - the sort of thing I'd be terrified by, and fail miserably at.

Sigh.

My morals went out the window on Friday night. I suggested to my boyfriend that I join one of those female crowd funding type sites where old men want to pay for your boob jobs. Instead of a boob job it would be for my boyfriends hospitality Glasto ticket.

He wasn't on board.

Same! Been a lurker for many years and when I reactivated my account the other day turns out I've had it since 2006...

On another note, I had my first 'processing maximum number of tickets' page this morning despite everyone mentioning regularly on here that it appears occasionally, and then I had it twice again just now - so not sure if that means anything?

It's happened twice for me today too, it's odd, hasn't done it for a few days before these ones

It's too heavily scrutinized.  One valid stub for one wrist band.  They allocate set numbers (in batches) to the banders and then inspect the progress (in batches).

Even if I got through the bander... I'd then have to get through the second line of checkers which are employed via Oxfam (and who get regularly checked through Bogus Mystery Customers).  Oxfam will lose their contract if their employees are liberal... hence they self regulate through BMC's.

If I were working there... I wouldn't give a toss and I'd let everyone in... but that's just me.

My mate banded there last year and she said there was absolutely zero chance of getting your mate in.  Plus of course they have to go through all the applications through Festaff with address, employer, referees etc so if they got caught cheating... they'd be screwed.

Usually had a few beers by that point, so couldn't remember what the process is. Back to the drawing-board!

that's very kind! I'll message you with my address if I get a ticket in one of these somewhat mythical resales :)

Deranged and no longer in Croatia . For the first time since this this all started am losing some hope that there will be a resale - Doing it for my husband and 3 kids who have tickets Whilst I don't Due to a stupid admin error from either see or Glastonbury who are both blaming each other but doing nothing to help as it wouldn't t be "fair". Not bitter at all. Have we got a definitive response from Glastonbury about what has happended to the Refunded tickets.? The festival are so obsessed with fairness and being transparent that surely they need to be the same about these lost tickets. They need to issue a statement about what exactly has happended to them. If not we have to assume that they have been distributed unfairly. I was told very clearly by See that they had had hundreds of refunds in the lead up to the refund deadline. To make mattters worse, my friend who my husband managed to get a ticket for has posted it on Facebook. And my home internet still down, nearly a month now. Relying on a dodgy FourG connection on my iPad in the corner of my bedroom. Very despondent.

:D Innovative, I like it!

Not sure how I can market a crowd fund for getting me into Glasto though.

Maybe; 'Your face on a flag'. For just $199.99 you can get your face - yes YOUR FACE - on a flag at Glastonbury. Watch on TV as your nylon grin cracks to the beat in the Somerset breeze. Why not record the occasion and have a CONSTANT conversation piece when having dinner parties. Be the envy of your friends - erect on a 4/5/6metre pole. for just $199.99 YES $199.99 YOU can be at Glastonbury!

*Terms and Conditions apply. Likeness may be chalk drawing on sheet as opposed to actual image of face. Prices vary depending on pole height - $100 dollars extra per metre. Flag may or may not be lost on the first night. TV pictures may not pick up the flag - in which case it was definitly 100% flown - honest.

Any takers?

anyone getting this ?

We are currently processing the maximum possible number of deposits per second. Due to the volume of people attempting to book you will be held at this page until there is a free space on the booking site. As soon as one transaction is completed another person will be allowed on to book, until the available tickets sell out.

Auto-refresh will attempt to access the booking page every 20 seconds. You can refresh the page manually to make more attempts at accessing the booking page, however attempts from IP addresses using 'multi-hit' software may be blocked.

We advise you attempt booking on a single browser tab only, as using multiple tabs can cause transaction errors.

Tickets are not secure until payment has been processed.

There's someone with two daughters who pulled out of wanting to go. Worth badgering him in case someone can pass off as one of them?

Just clicked on and got it. First time I have seen it, don't have the page refreshing either.

It's the 1100001 one that until a couple of weeks ago you could still prefill with registration info. Now it just says 'Event not found' except when it occasionally brings up the 'processing maximum number of tickets' page mentioned recently.

It's been doing it on and off for a while, but a lot of us have noticed and posted about it happening a lot today in particular. Could be a sign of something, could be nothing, but I guess we're all still here because we still have hope! :)
