I'll be honest here. I'm a Saracens fan! Men with odd shaped balls!

that is sitting on the fence of the highest order!

Herts?

a small village in Oxford ..born and lived there for 50 years ...now I do sound old...left just over 2 years ago. gave up my career and moved to jump off the band wagon ..less stress a lot less money and I do mean a lot less , and live with pigs and other farm yard animals... not for eating ..I take them in when people have got fed up with cute little micro pigs that seem to grow quite a bit and animals ready for the processing lorry ready to be xmas lunch. KFC and duck a l'orange amongst other things

You'd be surprised where your free range eggs come from and turkey eggs are lovely

There's a lot to be said for sticking two fingers up to the rat race. Sadly I'm stuck in it and have been for a while.

The farm life sounds like hard work but ultimately rewarding and good for cleansing the mind of the mundane day to day crap most of us face!

Anyway . Oxford. Anywhere near Goosey? It's the only small village I know in that neck of the woods.

Goosey is a small place ... about 25 miles from where I was but a beautiful part of the country near wantage I think

Yes hopping off the rat race can only really be done when responsibilities have gone and not for everyone.  The idyllic lifestyle isn't easy... and if you have a partner you have to have them onboard as well... he still works in Oxford 3 days a week

Rats a plenty which is why I encourage feral cats .. 365 days a year shovelling the proverbial .. forget hairdressers... makeup (not that that should bother you !!) nails oh and clothes... but the freedom is well worth it .. the only downside is going on a rescue and having to make small talk with arseholes who happily hurt the animals in your presence as they no that one word out of place and the rescue is off

I fell out of love with the human race a while ago

I admire your hands on lifestyle but not entirely sure the country life would suit me but I've contemplated it on numerous occasions.

I'm in walking distance of 3 pubs two waitrose a train line into London and my lovely little mate who delivers me papers. I think I'd miss the pubs the most...
