Sorry to go waaaaay off topic here, but could use a bit of life advice from you lovely people.

Had a phone call there with regards to a job, they seem interested and having a further Skype interview this evening. The issue I'm having however is it's London and they're only offering £22-24k salary. Is this an unrealistic salary to live on if I move to London? I'm dying to get a job and I'd love to live in London for a few years, but could I feasibly live on that salary when you factor in rent etc.?

Sorry for being a bit clueless, I'm still adjusting to grad life :P

That should be doable if you're living in a house share or 3 or more people. Should be able to get a a room in zone 2/3 for around £500 a month.

well done on the interview, coming from a Cornwall where the average wage is £16k it sounds ok! One thing I have learned along the way is, you just gotta do what your heart tells you. If it doesn't make you happy don't do it! :) Good luck with your decision!

it's at the beginning of every ISBN.

I work in a bookshop, so I have to say/hear 9-7-8 lots of times every day.

It was accidental, but it's also A SIGN!

So I'm not going mad after all...

Hey, been quietly following this thread for a while but thought I'd weigh in here. I think for a first job in London after graduating that's totally fine to live on :) I graduated 2 years ago and have been living/working in London since on 21k, having a great time and also been fortunate enough to get tickets for glastonbury (I'm here to help friends!). Things get sketchy by the end of the month but that could just be my ability to spend all my money on alcohol and food ;)

Hope that's in some way helpful!

House-share somewhere paying £400-500 a month on rent and you'll be fine.
