I will be a clicker. Basically sat on a gate for hours at a time clicking when someone goes in or out so they can calculate how many they have on site at any given time. I'm not sure I'll be using my full skill set but it gets me a wristband and I get paid for it! Had to pay a £280 deposit which I'll get back when I've done my four shifts.

Same, the crushing disappointment of my place falling through was too much.  As it stands, I've got a slim chance of a volunteering place coming through so I'm trying to not get emotionally invested.

That said, I have been in a constant cycle of refreshing my inbox, twitter and checking my phone for any developments

No one understands unless they know the Glastonbury magic. I've been let down by a couple of people (who I've helped in the past) one of which works in my office and is a 'trendy' and still managed to get a tix. You really find out who your friends are when it comes to getting Glasto tix.

I feel your pain, lets hope we both still get our miracle very soon.

Is it the done thing to take people's numbers so we can arrange where to meet and such like or do we just rock up and play it by ear?

Argh, how frustrating!  I've lost count of the people and charities I've hassled over the last few weeks.  The way I'm looking at it is that I've done all I can, it is now down to the glasto gods. Hopefully the years of volunteering has built up enough good karma to get me in one last time.

I've (sort of) accepted that I'm not going this year, but I still feel completely gutted by it. I can't help myself but I just keep reading the other threads, and looking at the glastocam then and seeing it all well on its way, it seems surreal I won't be there.

I wasn't that confident of getting a ticket in the secret resale due to the numbers that know these days, but it didn't occur to me there wouldn't actually be one! That hope had kept me going until last week

I will, I owe many a beer to some efesters from last year too as I got caught in traffic chaos and there's been some very helpful ones this year too so I need to pay my debts
