Coach package from Liverpool

Hello !

This is my first time going to Glastonbury and I have a few questions.

I opted for the coach package from Liverpool; does anyone know how long the takes to get to Worthy Farm from Liverpool? Also, do you know where about in Liverpool we get picked up from to go to the festival?

Any help and advice would be appreciated. Thanks : )

Hi, I opted for this last year, got the bus outside Lime St station. Think it was due to leave about 6-7am and got to Worthy Farm about 12.30 and in around 1pm. Coach did get a little bit lost on the way with road closures. It also stops at services for about 45 mins.

All a rough guide cos memory is a bit hazy on the timings.

So roughly it was about 3-5 hours in total? Thanks so much!

I had been told up was 9 hours or so and was starting to get a bit panicked.

Oh that can happen, it certainly happened on the very painful and long trek back to Liverpool. Got a coach about 1 ish and didn't get into Liverpool till about 8-9pm.

It most certainly did Tommy, they had to change driver who was late so there were two stops and diversions. Painful to say the least especially when all you want to do is get to your hotel and have a very long hot shower!

i,ll be giving the driver a nice scouse wet slap in the chops if any of that caper happens and taking the wheel myself, hahaha.

Are you doing the same routine again this year?

Did you like your hotel coz if not i can maybe recommend a few that my Mrs likes a lot that are super girly friendly specially for a little pamper after a hardcore few days!

Just let me know and i,ll PM you a couple after i speak to her no probs at all, :hi:

PS, can you confirm where you got the coach please H to the M to the V, deffo outside Lime Street station rather than the Empire theater.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Not doing the scouse trip this year as I'm not with the scouse chap so doing the much more civilised (in terms of travel) jaunt from Bristol instead.

Will have to get my Pool of Liver fix another time.

As far as I'm aware I could see Lime St from the bus stop but it stops in another spot on the way back.

The hotel I stayed in was absolutely divine and the friendliest staff ever who were lovely to me even though I reeked of 5 days of Glasto mud and sweat. Its proximity to Tesco and Homebargains for shower scrub and wine was ideal as well.

I will miss my post Glasto trip to the Belvedere for a G&T.

I know the Belvedere very well, my fave place in the whole world is just round the corner called the berry and rye, berry street, you simply must try it next time your in the pool. its based on an old American prohibition era bar, fookin fantastic and until you go you`ve never been anywhere like it trust me!

Only hold 50 people and looks like a bombdy (empty house) from the outside, piano player and jazz music and the greatest cocktails in the world (my one loves them BIGTIME!!!) hahaha. Then from there a 1 min walk to the ALOHA for a cocktail in a fresh pinapple carved cup, (i wanna go now!!) hahaha, you,ll luv it if you havnt been before (in fact next time your in the pool let me know an i,ll give you a list of some cracking places you may not have been to.

Thanks for letting me know bout where you got your coach, i,m sure we,ll see it, just gonna stand in the middle island an jump up an down until i see it, i havnt been on a coach journey since i was a kid so i can imagine it to feel like the good old trips to butlins as a kid. canny frickin wait now!!!

I,ll see ya at the meet anyway, from what i,ve read in NFR NFC i,ll hear ya before i see ya but thats all good coz all my gang are exactly the same, its a scouse and irish thing me thinks, hahahaha.

Jaysis Tommy, sure I've been to Berry and Rye on numerous occasions!! Love it! I'll see you at the meet and I don't know what they're talking about, all this hearing me before they see me.

Shure where do you think the name came from? ;)

My Pop has a security firm and runs a fair few doors in Town including the rye and aloha and bout another 6, thats my fave for the brandy cocktails, lush man lush! if your ever in the pool do let me know, i,ll make sure my old man gets you a nice drink from me u just need to mention my profile name. best gaff in town for me that place.

And aye no offence, i have a few very good friends from the emerald isle north and south and have yet to meet a quiet one so far, deffo give us foghorn scousers a run for our money. hahahahahaha.

Wouldnt have it any other way though kiddo.

Trip normally takes about 5 hours. I volunteer to work there so our coach picks us up on the Tuesday. We had a nightmare last year as we all had a few bevvies in Ma Egies before the coach come and it never had a toilet on it. hope its got one on it this year
