Headliners 2016

Yeah, it'll be one more album at least before he's headlining UK festivals.

IMHO, Glastonbury should be the ones to go in there and get him first. Glastonbury got Jay Z and Kanye, but R&L got Kendrick this year. Kendrick is definitely where the Eavii should be looking, because they're starting to thin out the exciting names for the top of the bill. Foos and The Who were both dull choices this year, it's stupid that Florence wasn't booked as a headliner. Taylor and Adele are the two big attention grabbing names they can go for now, but just about everybody else has headlined elsewhere. Kendrick's name is now the top of the list for acts about to be bumped up (yes, even above Foals).

I do not think it will be Fleetwood Mac.

I read comments that some of the band felt that the current tour was too long  - I think it goes to the end of the year , but they were gonna do it and then enjoy their retirement.

They have been all over with this tour so I cannot see any point in them just coming together for one gig in June  as they are not likely to tour in 2016 and go round again !

I think 2015 was Glastonburys only chance to get them.

Well that was an anti-climax. Good for Florence though, nice to see the Glastonbury slot has pushed her and her band into 'headliner material', the word was she did a good job on the Friday night this year.

I don't know why more of us didn't think of Flo, I guess I didn't see the need for her to be announced yet. And yes she did, best headliner there, smashed it!

She was already headline material at many places around the world - especially in Europe - last year. Glastonbury was one of the few anomalies actually. :P

I don't think Florence will do IOW, however I can see Libertines doing the slot that Biffy and The Black Keys have filled in the past 2 years with someone like The Chemical Brothers or faithless maybe. But Florence for T id agree is extremely likely

Yeah The Libertines are a good shout for that as I don't see them playing anywhere else next summer. I think Chase & Status could be the dance act that co-headlines.

Are Chase and Status big enough now?, their last album was poor and the tour bombed a bit as well.

Yeah IOW would be the only ideal place really but it's a lot of touring. Hyde Park, Ally Pally x3, R&L, T and Glastonbury plus their own little club tour. It could only be IOW as a push and they could only get UK Exclusive as others have had them, I think they would have to skip an arena tour though.

I dunno, I could see IOW giving them that slot but I agree they're maybe not as big as they were in 2013.

So Black Sabbath have just announced that they're doing their final tour next year. No European dates as of yet though. Could they be in for a Glastonbury send off? :D

Sharon is their manager, no chance will she take Glasto's £250k over Download whatever million. Glasto won't be breaking their neck to book them, they are big yes but they cant sell out anything out like some of what they could get can.

IOW is possible I guess given they only have one site to sell but at the same time, how small would it look compared to recent years. Like or not, CH is a huge closer, Avicci is big but I think C&S are more likely to headline the NME stage. They needed a No More Idols and after their last album it kind of turned into No More Idiots lol.
