obviously as a headliner it's a no-go, but like third or fourth down the Pyramid stage in a similar slot to Shakira, Paloma or Lana? why the hell not - think she'd put on a hell of a show, and her new material, whilst not for everybody (and critics aren't seeming as fond of it as i thought they would) is a big move away from her previous stuff. could even bring the Flaming Lips out with her

I don't thonk Foals would play anywhere other than headlining, I don't even think it's as much as they would be demanding headline slots aka Noel G, more that's just the level they are pushing now, I'm all for it

But are they? There really is nothing to show that they are pushing it, I understand you like them so you want it but that's a different thing.

They were offered Glastonbury sub this year, they clearly aren't thought of by Glastonbury as headline only or they'd have left it to ask them about heading next year.

He played a smaller outdoor headline show that he couldn't sell out without cheaper tickets, a headline slot at a English festival nowhere near the size of Glastonbury and a T headline slot because they were buggered all ends up and clearly don't see The Prodigy as big enough.

Not being funny but don't make things out to anything other than what they are.

Foals are definitely subheadliner, and a big 'un. Headlining, hmmm,  yeah, I coukld see them do it on the Sunday or something, if they spunk all the money on a Saturday night big act.

Eh? I'm not. Did he sub anywhere in the UK this year? Nope. 

 

He's obviously not wanting to be below anyone on lineups anymore. For some people headlining Latitude is better than second down below Mumford and Sons at Reading and Leeds.

To be fair, them being offered to sub this year was all a bit last minute, I couldn't blame them for not taking it, they were deeply in the process of realising their album, so it made sense for them to knock it back

Not everyone would have said The Libertines were a sub act, they could arguably have headlined, given the circumstances they happened to sub
