I couldn't imagine that ever happening in a month of Sunday's!

They're in France before the festival & Germany after with what looks like a glasto shaped hole, not sure about the park though

A mate of mine was in an 80's thrash band and supported a fair few of the big American lot on tour back then - never Slayer, but their contemporaries like Exodus and Testament. He was told it by a mate of his in the US. He could, of course, be yanking my chain, but that's what he said he's heard!

Putting those Adele tickets up for £20k is silly. They won't sell. But if they were up for a couple hundred, they'd profit enormously because people would definitely snap them up.

I find it hard to believe that the "anti-tout" measures Adele's team employed were ever actually going to do much. If they were serious, why don't they do what Glastonbury, or Radiohead did for their last tour, and get your face put on the ticket? When tickets are £80+ anyway, then these costs can surely be covered. I get that it's not appropriate for a gig at Shepherd's Bush Empire, or whatever, but not on the scale of venues (and for the prices) Adele plays. So half-arsed, it's fucking sad.

Slayer on the Park would be insane but doesn't at all sound like something that would happen. In the unlikely event they were ever booked you'd assume they'd be in the JP tent - the Park doesn't seem right

Adele is clearly taking this tour and forthcoming live performances very seriously. She hired Wembley for the best part of a month, just to practice and get things sorted (my mate, who some of you met in 2013, was working there doing the catering for the crew) It's no half arsed pub-band in a van type thing. The stage fright thing has clearly been massively overblown. She's a shoe-in/shoo-in for the Saturday night.

So, we're at the end of February and we have two headliners officially announced, the legend slot and Peej. 

Are we likely to get much more any time soon? Adele would merit a separate announcement, but are we just waiting for the traditional poster around balance week now?

Yeah I think this'll be it until the poster. Unless maybe someone self-confirms and they decide to announce it. The PJ Harvey announcement seemed strange to me; there didn't really seem to be any reason for it unless it was to show they mean business with the emphasis on female artists or something.

PJ was probably just announced cos 6 Music wanted an exclusive and Emily was like 'alright, fuck it'. I don't think there's really much of a plan behind this stuff, Glastonbury announce what they want when they want.

As much as I'd LOVE Slayer to play Glastonbury I can't see them coming back to the UK two weeks after Download which they are also rumoured for. More likely for Donington than Pilton. : (
