More likely for Donington than Pilton. : ( They're not rumoured for Download - that's mostly announced. They're headlining Bloodstock Open Air but not listed as an exclusive, while others are. But if they were up for a couple hundred, they'd profit enormously because people would definitely snap them up. I find it hard to believe that the "anti-tout" measures Adele's team employed were ever actually going to do much. If they were serious, why don't they do what Glastonbury, or Radiohead did for their last tour, and get your face put on the ticket? When tickets are £80+ anyway, then these costs can surely be covered. I get that it's not appropriate for a gig at Shepherd's Bush Empire, or whatever, but not on the scale of venues (and for the prices) Adele plays. So half-arsed, it's fucking sad. I agree with what Adele is doing, its a lot less hassle than what Galsto does, but not yet quite as affective. For a first stab at getting rid of touts its a good start (but there are some issues which need to be resolved still) Basically, all tickets are printed with the purchasers name on them, and you can only enter if you present your tickets with photo ID proving you are the person on the ticket. Tickets can never be transferred into someone elses name You can resell tickets through a dedicated site (twickets) but only at Face value + booking fees. You cant pay more. Whoever buys your tickets has to present those tickets along with the twickets email confirming the resale when they arrive There are issues with the system, such as you cant buy tickets for a partner and their friend, and you are a bit stuffed if you font have photo Id (so don't have a driving licence or passport) but the idea as a starter for ten is good £20k tickets going on sale is nonsense. Its only worthy of comment if some idiot actually buys them for that amount, but no one ever will. I might as well put my tickets up for £1million pounds each You can still get tickets at face value if you sign up to the twickets alerts, they come up regularly, but you need to be quick to snap them up because they don't hang around for long due to the obvious massive demand. You would still be lucky to be able to snap up any tickets in a resale Twickets do receive 10% commission on any resale as well by the way
cidy
Thought I read somewhere it was 3 British bands headlining ,so that would rule Adele out ,Radiohead seem obvious choice but to me too similar to muse .

Maybe then Mr Penguin would give it a rest over 'real' metal at Glastonbury. Would be a good alternative to the Satursay headliners we know thus far

Henrik
Slayer!!! Good lord, that would be amazing.
Frankly Mr Shankly
Slayer on the park would be an inspired booking. I can think of better metal bands, but either way it would be an unusual booking which can only be a good thing when you have Coldplay & Muse headlining for their 4th & 3rd time respectively on the Pyramid. HoTWire
Slayer!? I'm in! Bastard sons begat your c**ting daughters etc. etc. I was thinking that there is nothing to go with BMTH musically. Although I guess when Metallica played they didn't have any metal spread through the line up either.
Inconspicuous
SLAYERRRRRRR! YES! It would be an absolutely bonkers booking and even more bonkers on the Park Stage! If it is true, the 'heaviest' band to ever play Glastonbury?

SwedgeAntilles
Would hope we'll get Foals, Chvrches, Crystal Castles, Maximo Park, Haim and The Vaccines. Nothing else of much interest there.

We all know that overall Glastonbury will have a far superior line up than that. Also despite the fact that many on this forum don't like Muse, Adele and Coldplay (myself included) it's still a much stronger set of headliners that Reading and Leeds have got. Bisque
I'm expecting a fair few number of acts off that leaked R&L poster to be a Glastonbury. Yeah, but it does have Dillinger Escape Plan which makes it a defacto better line up than Glastonbury.
Mardy
Man, that Reading lineup makes me feel proper old. I've never heard of a good 70% of that. They might be good, they're probably shite, but still, how can there be that much music I've no clue about. How did that happen? WHEN did that happen?
