Can't delete quote sorry

Pretty mixed feelings about all this. For diversity's sake I think Adele would be a stronger booking than having three male British bands but I was hoping for Radiohead obviously... bloody Muse.

Don't know whether to try the resale or go somewhere Radiohead are playing now. Hope we get more of an idea by April.

Radiohead are playing in Berlin with New Order this September.

I counted 25 off that R&L poster that I recognised, and about three I'd take for Glastonbury.

Maybe that says more about how out of touch you are with modern music than it does about the R&L line up :D

To me it looks like R&L have taken a side step from the bonkers lineup war of escalation and have concentrated on providing a solid festival for their target demographic (which tends to be a bit younger than Glastonbury's).

Of course it does, that's what I was insinuating. I'm a few years shy of 40, i shouldn't be the target audience for R&L.

That said, the demographic it is aimed at don't seem to happy with it.

Think Earth, Wind and Fire are a good bet for one of them. The other two I couldn't hazard a guess at - always some massive surprises on the WH lineup (Mothership last year - Bryan Ferry the year before etc)

Never seen a WH headliner. With Sunday having Coldplay and BMTH, Im  wanting WH to pull out something special for my Sunday....

Adele is clearly taking this tour and forthcoming live performances very seriously. She hired Wembley for the best part of a month, just to practice and get things sorted (my mate, who some of you met in 2013, was working there doing the catering for the crew) It's no half arsed pub-band in a van type thing. The stage fright thing has clearly been massively overblown. She's a shoe-in/shoo-in for the Saturday night.

@eFestivals what exactly did this Radiohead source get right in the past? If it was just that they would be playing the last time they did I secret set I would say that was guessable and maybe not a reason to have complete faith in any further information.

He told me they'd definitely be playing a secret set in the Park the year they did that. I have a feeling he also told me about Thom & Jonny's set the year before, too, tho I can't be sure about that now. However there's been someone - who I think is the same guy - who's given various bits of RH info over the years including 'not playing' in a year where people thought they might.

And yep, it could be guesses, I've got no way of knowing for sure. However, I think if he was trying to scam me he'd have done things differently to how he has.

I'm more confident about this info being right than wrong, tho we only get to find out for sure down the line from here.

That RnL lineup is absolute dog, minus a few acts that I'd take. I would have thought now V festival has gone complete shite (pop), they'd have been able to pick up the smaller bands that would usually play V and put together a half decent slog of shit.

Also, in reply to the person who posted saying Radiohead are touring with New Order in September.. Can we all go unrealistic with our posts again and say Radiohead to headline Other against Adele with New Order subbing them? :P

and that would be unrealistic, why?

Don't forget that Glasto tried to arrange Metallica headlining the Other while Prince headlined the Pyramid. Adele against Radiohead would be much the same.

Very true, I was half being serious I just feared persecution from the Radiohead fans.

I'd be very happy for this as long as Slayer are headlining the Park. Then I can watch New Order and Slayer and be a very happy man.

It's not the worst idea in the world if Adele is on the Pyramid. If they had Radiohead headlning the Other with New Order subbing, they are ensuring that a big chunk of people won't go near the Pyramid stage after 8pm.

I'm all in on this idea. The only problem is surely the Other stage would be too crowded? Isn't it 40,000 or something like that? Surely there would be more people than that seeing Radiohead. Or maybe us Radiohead fans are overestimating their popularity these days?

This just raises more questions than answers :P
