Muse I used to love but their material has gotten worse and ive just grown out of them. Coldplay i learnt to love for a bit when Viva La Vida came out but everything since has been shite. Adele I actually quite like and, clashes permitted, I'll go and see her - it was just the Radiohead stuff that made me sour on her being there :P not a bad set of headlines - just not the ones I'd prefer, although I think/hope the rest of the lineup is gonna make up for it

My favourite Coldplay song is The Scientist or it's at least up there....but yes I was a bit do I don't I and Viva La Vida kind of done something but Xylo Moloto was great for me then to pot lol.

Coldplay are the epitome of the very middle ground of music for me. Don't make anything good enough for me to really like them, don't make anything bad enough for me to avoid them. They've got some 'okay' songs, they've got some 'meh' songs. They'd probably put on a decent show, but they don't do enough for me to be excited about them playing...

Everyone stop what you're doing, rid yourself of any distractions, watch this, and just marvel at the complete mediocrity of it. Let the banality wash over you like an entire bottle of Lidl bought shower gel. Its breathtakingly dull. Stunning even.

His inability to stand. the. fuck. up is probably the most annoying bit about it.

Its like watching Quasimodo trip out

Seriously mate I hope Radiohead turn up for all you on here who are crying out for them. BUT.....not at the expense of a New Order headline slot.

New Order is my Saturday night. That's how it's planned so far. I wanted Radiohead - Fri and New Order - Saturday.

Im actually worrying that Im gunna have nothing to see as Headliners bar New Order... then again, it could be a blessing. Only 100+ other stages.

Is there any chance that it isn't Adele on Saturday now?

Probably like a 10% chance.

This is based on very little other than the fact that Neil is quite sure but not sure enough to make her TBC.

it looks very unlikely from where I'm sat.

Face it, she's playing, and while it might not be your thing (it's not mine) it could hardly be called a bad booking for Glastonbury. There's a story in one of the papers today of a ticket for one of her shows being touted at £24,000.

And I don't doubt she'll smash it too. She'll have the crowd eating out of her hand via the giggly-dippy-sweary-scared thing she does.

I think it could easily work.

There are ALOT of people keen to see adele. While the whole "Radiohead vs Adele" thread is suggesting that Radiohead would be a better choice, the demographic of these boards has shown itself to be a relatively poor representation of the whole "glasto attendee demographic" (see Hot Chips poplarity on this board vs their crowd at last years festival).

Adele will have a huge crowd becauae its Adele. Shes as big as acts get these days and that popularity will manifest itself in a stonking attendance for her. Radiohead playing opposite offer something completely different. The x to adeles y. The + to her -. Its a perfect split id say.

Even then, Radiohead are not for everyone. At all. Their popularity is less than Adeles and they would almost certainly draw a smaller crowd than her, on novelty factor alone. There would then be many thousands of people who like neither of those acts and would much rather enjoy the multitude of other acts on at that time. It makes sense to me but more likely than not, wont happen.

You are correct. I just could not believe the number of people making a beeline to see Hozier last year who I personally think is a great steaming pile of faeces (musically). A couple of hit singles and everybody loses their minds. Adele would be a MASSIVE draw, no question about it (for about 25 minutes and then half the crowd will be bored/depressed/suicidal and wander off elsewhere)

Beyonce also sold a fuckton with Destiny's Child to be fair

Destinys Child sold 41million from 5 albums. Lot of records, Adele still trouncing her on sales per record. And to be fair Adele wasn't asked to be in Destinys Child :D

Anyway point being Adele ain't subbing no fucker.

I'll still be at New Order like.
