It's not a rock festival, it doesn't have to have a rock headliner.

M!!!
Straws firmly clutched while typing this but any chance Adele could be a secret set? Could still gain a massive amount of publicity from it (lots of 'Adele wows crowds with secret set' headlines/'and finally...' news stories etc.... Filmed but not shown live so can be edited to show the most 'stunning' moments along with her doing the whole overwhelmed cute thing without people realising how amazingly dull it actually is?! To be fair mate, they do not seem to have any plan with their sets. I have seen them on 2 consecutive nights in 2 different towns play completely different sets. If they were to headline a stage or tent then you would get a more varied set as it would predominantly be their fans who had been drawn away from other stages to see them. If they played the Pyramid with a more impartial crowd, then I think they would stick to the hits.

Yes, but Taylor Swift is a pop/country/rock type of an act with a wide range of styles. Most of her songs have a massive feelgood factor even if they are about relationships. I just don't hear this in Adele's songs though, cards on the table, I haven't listened to a single album by her.

I know only the hits by both Adele and Taylor Swift. So I've probably heard maybe 3 Swift songs and 6 or 7 Adele. If I pick the one from each I know the most, it would be Shake It Off and Rolling in the Deep. Which of those do you really think sounds the most like a Syco product? chuckles07
Ditto Kendal Calling last year on the Thursday night. Excellent night where they thought they would be playing to a small crowd looking for a quiet start to a big weekend, and the field was rammed with people well up for it, and the band responded big time. They would be fabulous for the sundown slot at the pyramid...... james that is.
