Adele isn't the headliner that annoys me. It's the fact in the same year Muse and Coldplay are playing. Like her or not, Adele is the biggest act in the world. British (that angle doesn't bother me, but the festival might like it). She is worthy of a chance to headline. Shame it just isn't my thing.

Despite it being Coldplay's 4th, if they are fucking off (we can hope) I suppose as they have a long history with the Festival and the Eavis family, I see why they are on again.

MUSE however are a baffling choice (and this is coming from someone who has seen them 6 times).

They were not booked last year when their album first came out. They have done it 3 times. Their popularity isn't increasing. To have both Coldplay + MUSE turns it into a house band show.

If nothing took my fancy on the Friday, I would see MUSE, but I feel it's a very poor booking.

For me it's either: 

A. Foo Fighters were pencilled in, but made it clear very early on they were having a break and after last year's sunday issue they booked MUSE up.

B. That petition etc really got to ME and EE. They went with what they know and safety. If it did and they wanted an easy life. I don't blame them. They did right. 

I'm gutted as I know I won't be there in 2017. Who knows what happens after that. I did want one more Pyramid headliner to watch.

Coldplay definitely aren't going anywhere. They said a week or two ago in NME that they'll be going back in the studio again after the tour.

I'm not too bothered about Adele headlining now - especially with Slayer looking a certainty for The Park - she is a massive booking and will most likely bang out an awesome show. The woman is a behemoth.

BBC review of it on the main News site. Looks like she nailed it. Whether its your thing or not, the fact that they have got her is a feat enough, let alone her performance might end up being one of the greats. I'm in.

fuck it I would love to see Adele its all about taste Muse sound the same to me in every song and Coldplay struggle not to sound the same in every song im happy I can spend some time at the acoustic stage etc. with out being torn as to where to be.

Great reviews of Adele's set last night. Just made a Spotify playlist of the setlist for the wife as i'm taking her to the Brum gig at the end of the month. Played 7 from the new album. She joked "I know some of you have been dragged here." Not really my cup of tea but as a British artist, still young, conquering the world, whether you like her music or not has to be admired. I think she'll storm it to be honest but as I will have already seen her I can watch New Order on the Other Stage if the rumours are true.
