CaledonianGonzo
This 'Set Fire To the Rain' jam worth seeking out for listen, is it?
Andeeroo
Bmtth are bringing the real metal to Glastonbury this year anyway. No need for Slayer.

Tuna
+1 for Mary J Blige being excellent last year. Was just having a bimble at that point in the day and got positively sucked in. It was a really captivating performance.

CaledonianGonzo
Cheers. Will have a goosey gander. Though I dunno if Skyfall won't go over in fairly big fashion. It's about as much of a banger as you'll ever get from Adele

You wash your mouth out. I'll happily take Sleep from the Roskilde line up for a bit of heaviness at Glastonbury over Slayer. But it is clear now that Slayer are nailed on, so we just have to take what we can get.

Someone said they'd heard a rumour that Slayer were headlining the Park, so for lack of any other info, we went with it. They're playing Bloodstock but not down as an exclusive like other acts so there may be something to it... (But probably not)

Relive a bit of my teen years.
theDandy
Is it still looking like Adele to headline the Pyramid Saturday? And Radiohead still in limbo ?

Radiohead are the reason Slayer are playing. They pulled out and suggested one of their favourite bands... You wait for the new album, they are taking things in a different direction, since Thom Yorke had laryngitis...

Adele is almost definitely headlining. Radiohead are apparently doing no UK fests so are seemingly ruled out (although Neil is waiting to hear back from the guy who said they'd be there)

Beverley Knight still owes me a pint. She knocked a drink out of my hand once and whilst she apologised, didn't offer to buy me another. Hugh Jass
Foo Fighters are making some sort of announcement tonight. Almost certainly has nothing to do with GF (probably just denying AIDS again or summat) but we may find out if they're active at all this year. FuzzyDunlop
Mary J Blige... superb last year. Not my nornal thing, but I was well impressed. We went before Motorhead, but went to see her full set. Class. One of only 3 Pyramid performances I saw. Motorhead and Burt Bach being the other. She was great

CaledonianGonzo
Though the journo in question has been on Team #RightBazza since long before it became the current celebrity cause du jour.
The Nal
If Slayer just played Raining Blood, Angel of Death and Season in the Abyss and then left it would be a good gig. But there isn't a fucking hope in hell of them playing. For all the moshing and screaming in deep voices, its more music for adults still living at home with their parents music. Think of a 45 year old Garth Algar, but dressed in black. Edited March 2, 2016 by The Nal
