To be honest given the fella's a huge NO fanboy this is where we'll be as not bothered about Adele, but I am hoping there isn't any other bad clashes from any of the other stages or it might be under review...

I think NO are great live, I know people complained about WHP gig (I enjoyed it as got in early at the barrier) but Jodrell bank gig was absolutely superb and I'm not a die hard fan tbh

less 'crazy talk' and more 'idle speculation' .... I've had nothing to suggest she wouldn't be doing Glasto, but until more recently nothing that was putting her in the headline slot with almost-certainty, and with the possibility of RH playing the possibilities of where they might play were considered.

oh god is the RH dream still going then lol

Jodrell Bank is the best gig I have ever been to.

This may be of interest to you. No idea in regards to the line up bet definitely worth registering.

well I don't know about the rest of you but i'm quite looking forward to watching Adele

granted i'd rather have Radiohead but I think Adele is going to put on a cracking show

After seeing her last night as a very casual 'I like five or six songs from 19 and 21' fan, I have to say I agree. I think she'll smash it and she genuinely seems like a very likeable and down-to-earth performer so I wish the best for her. It's certainly more exciting than booking Coldplay and Muse for the thousandth time.

I probably won't be there for the entire set if New Order are playing but I'll no doubt bob over for 20 minutes or so.

thanks for this..

I think the whole day was great with the support, sun was shining, great choice of proper ales and the main event - it was such an enjoyable day :)

It's very much at the less exciting end of the booking spectrum, but I'd still say that's less to do with Adele than it is to do with Coldplay and Muse.

Put the three together and it's the dullest, greyest, blandest combination they could drag up there, like being served cardboard and ryvita at a restaurant....and here comes the third course and look, it's cold porridge.

I fear for the future of the headliners booking if EE thinks this is the way to go

Not now, surely?

As I've said plenty of times, I have no reason to think the RH info I've been told is wrong ... that source has an impecible record with ad-hoc bits of info about a number of bands (including RH previously) over many years, while not having sent me info every year.

I have no reason to think this year's bit of info will be any different.

The source never said they were playing as headliner. Someone has posted today wondering who will be subbing Adele. It's still quite possible that might be RH - because there doesn't seem to be anyone else in the frame.

The days of great headliners are over. Finished. We've been having repeat headliners for years now.

And to be clear on this point, 6 months ago lots of people would have been wetting themselves at the prospect of Bowie, Neil Young and Radiohead all being plausible. Nothing new to see there.

It's best not to worry about pyramid stage headliners anymore. The best we can hope for now is what, Prince? There's no-one left. But that doesnt excuse the coldplay and muse bookings. They are utterly devoid of imagination and to book both in the same year in inexcusable.

I'm still quite puzzled by new order headlining the other stage. What have they done since their last performance to warrant such a high billing? I dont get this one at all. Hopefully neil is wrong on this. I'd like to spend saturday night at one of the big stages.

To be honest I'd be over the moon if that happened. I mentioned that a few weeks back and that RH could have been subbed with a view to headlining if Adele decided not to play.
