Being born in Cumbria but brought up in Hampshire I have both a northern & southern pronunciation of my surname depending on where I am / whether I'm talking to family / northern friends or...everyone else.

But my nickname / profile name is the northern version.

It wouldn't be that much of a surprise if easty turned out to be an ex mistress of hooky at all!

He'sย far too butch and hairy for my tastes mate :-)

what you saying about wythenshawe?

ย

I am from there and sound Nothing Like Caroline Ahern.ย although I must admit I had a speech therapist for many years who was a scouser. ย So for my formative years I was often mistaken for Liverpudlian. Worst thing ever when growing up in Wythenshawe sounding scouse.

Thankfully I said nothing derogatory about Wythenshawe as quite frankly with me coming from Newton Heath, I am in no position to.

I thought the Wythenshawe accent was pretty similar to the north Manc accent. Is it more in common with the south Manchester accent?

Surely a Scouse speech therapist is a bit of an Oxymoron? They sound like Mancsย on whizz. Saying that I prefer their accent over mine.

Yes Hooky was married to her.

Are you not from Failsworth ย or Moston? Did I dream that?

North Manchester accent is pretty different to Wythenshawe.

I get alsorts. Despite living in the same town for all my life. Mine is a Lancashire and Manc hybrid. Some words sound a bit yorkshire too.

I say sturrs instead of stairs. Fo-wer instead of Four.

No one speaks like a Liam Gallagher. Even his brother.

I am in Newton Heath mate. Are you not in Middleton? There is a difference once you go outside the M60. It is mad really considering it is only a few miles.

I am called Eastwood so it is pretty hard to mess that up in anyย ย accent :-)

Where are you from? I'm from Rossendale, although now living the wrong side of the Mersey in Stockport.

well peeps, i'm still hearing Adele, Adele, and more Adele.

If she was anything but a Glasto headliner I'd probably have her at TBC by now.

You should just give it TBC and watch twitter explode....

Jeeez. Why don't they just get on with it and club us over the head and put us out of our self-inflicted hopeful misery?
