From what I've heard about the show itself, it sounds pretty ambitious. If it does have actual drones flying about, then I'd imagine the health and safety people would want that being done inside, so the wind doesn't mess with them.

Bit of an odd decision to do an in the round show at the Hydro given that it's a purpose built wedge-shaped auditorium, so all of the crowd will still be looking at one side of the stage.

The seats go a lot further round than they seem at gigs, when I went there for the commonwealth games they took down the curtains which hide a lot of seats at gigs. For standing there is absolutely no difference, the stage can moved and there will be 360 standing it's only seating where there is a slight difference

This changes everything! Although didn't they 'retire' a lot of Origin Of Symmetry a couple of years ago? Perhaps at their last Reading appearance?

Muse stock has fallen considerably from 2010.

 

Gone are the stadium tours from 5 years ago.

For starters, Muse last did stadia in 2013 ie the last tour. And those stadia were largely full.

 

The Drones tour will get to stadia, my guess is South America and D'nunder in our winter and then summer 2017 for Europe.

Arenas first in the spring and stadiums in the summer/early autumn I imagine. Exactly what they've done from the last couple of tours.

I'm glad I saw 'em in March but I don't think the new stuff is good enough to justify the prices being suggested on here for an arena tour. Will be a spectacle no doubt.

Take the girlfriend for a lobster dinner and then to a top show in London. Good food, music and spectacle, all for the price of a pair of Muse tickets.

There's a lot buzz on the US festival boards about Radiohead playing fests over here in June.  They strike me as a sure thing for Glasto.

i'll be going to both Primavera and Glastonbury next June so i'm holding out hope that Radiohead will be at at least one of them (although both would do me just fine)

 

 

also, been away at Bestival the last few days, but saw 'somewhere' (might've been here, might've been elsewhere) that somebody connected with Glastonbury has said that all three of next years headliners have played before and that two of 2017's headliners are brand new. if this is true (which it probably isn't) then Radiohead has just got to be one of them, right? Coldplay another, and... something not so depressing for the third (although looking through past headliners who could still realistically headline in 2015, christ knows). i keep thinking Muse but Radiohead, Muse and Coldplay just seems a bit weird - Radiohead and then two acts highly influenced by them
