Courtney is the best. Missed on the Pyramid last year, but caught the second half of the William's Green set and it was mega.

Sound on Pyramid for Courtney was crappy - ironically since immediately before her it was stellar for The Unthanks. As a result, her Williams Green set was much better. It was, in fact,  belter!

I've just hammered out a compromise deal with Mrs Jass where Adele is exchanged for me getting first choice for pretty much the rest of the festival.

Any woman who strikes a deal where upon her fella has to watch Adele above New Order needs trading in for a newer model.

Any man who doesn't have the balls to say, "You go and see Adele, I'll go and see something else," doesn't deserve a "newer model".

Honestly couples / groups who feel the need to do Glastonbury in each other's pockets freak me out...

Hahah I thought I was going to get a telling off then, for telling Hugh to trade his missus in.

To be fair the old romantic in me thinks it is quite cute Hugh will watch Adele with his missus. The problem is that there is a time for cute and compromise and it is certainly not when New Order are on :-)

There has to be balance though. You can't just abandon your wife all weekend.

In 2007, watching Killers was my line I would not cross. I saw Africa Express instead. Result!

What's stopping a poster reveal by Glastonbury? The headliners are the ones the press are bothered about - so it wont create that much press any more.

Is it to keep us speculating? (I hope so, if I was EE I'd love winding people up)

Is it contractual? I.e. They set a date with promoters.

Is it because they are just not finished?

Is it cos they can't be arsed yet?

On the face of it, they could do it now - but my knowledge of these things is limited.

Yeah, I think some compromise is important. I bloody love my wife and want to spend Glastonbury with her, not apart.

Aww, how cute.

Thank god you're not my husband...

Don't get me wrong, I love spending some time with my husband at Glastonbury.  But I'd feel like a proper shit forcing him to watch something I know he won't enjoy, and where I know he'd rather watch something else.  And I then wouldn't enjoy it because I'd know he wasn't enjoying it.

I'm not suggesting couples should spend the entire festival apart.  Just that when you want to watch different things, it's perfectly OK to spend a couple of hours watching different things.

Totally agree...especially if it's just the 2 of you there.

That said being able to bimble off on your own for a while at Glastonbury is also very liberating.  In 2013 Mrs Parson didn't fancy the crush for the Stones so we agreed to meet after.....her eclectic mix of Steve Winwood,  Chase & Status and Public Enemy still promotes more conversation than my time with Mick and his buddies.

Perhaps, like a lot of people, she's seen New Order before and has no urgent desire to repeat the experience.

Thats like saying you tried Rice Pudding with jam in it and have no desire to try it again.
