Highly doubt they'll play Coachella next year. They won't be prepared to reunite for a festival in seven months time when Slash's tour is still to run until the end of the year and such a huge reunion as this would take A LOT of ironing out financially. Year after I could see happening.

 

The info is from two sources, one is a friend near the GnR camp.  If you don't trust me (and why should you) guys in the band are saying 2016 will be a "big year" http://consequenceofsound.net/2015/08/2016-will-be-a-big-year-for-guns-n-roses/.

 

 

As far as the timing, the Dre+Snoop+Hologram show came together in 3 months, and this was about the time the Outkast reunion was ironed out.  Don't see why it'd take 18 months to pull this together.

I guess that depends on time needed for rehearsal, then warm-up gigs.

 

I take your point about Dre & Snoop and Outkast, but it would take slightly longer for a band to rehearse to be show-ready. Did Dre or Outkast have any live musicians on stage?

Dre and Outkast both did.  Dre also, you know, built a hologram. 

 

 

Assuming this is all true and they're reuniting for Coachella, there won't be warm-up gigs (other than a possible secret tiny show).  Coachella will want them to premiere in Indio.

LCD sounds too good to be true for me.  For GnR there's lots media coverage pointing the right way, plus several rumor mill sources I trust.  LCD is just the rumor mill and no press to back it up.

I'd say so, yeah.  Maybe a strong sub or WH headliner considering they did a double headline tour with Hot Chip, but the reunion aspect would probably push them up a bit.

Yeah I read people talking about it in the Primavera thread yesterday. Apparently there are rumours on a Coachella forum and it seems similar to when the OutKast news was filtering through last year.

I did think it had been longer actually.  They split up about the same time Radiohead released their last album, so not very long at all in the grand scheme of things.
