Northernsoul45
any suggestions / tips for a stopover on the Tuesday en route to Glastonbury down from the North? , we have a camper van but going to break the journey up as its a bit fo trek from Scotland in the one day and we've only the one driver (and going by our van pick up / set off time on the Tuesday) camp site / caravan park with the camper van? or hotel?... hotel would be good chance of a comfy bed & last hot shower (and water running for long as you like!) before confined in camper for 5 days I suppose!:-) will probably do the majority of the drive on the Tuesday, and only leave 1hr-2hr drive on the Wednesday morning / early afternoon to get to camper van fields.(feeling fresh and in daylight hours;-)) any camp site / hotel recommendations / links would be great, especially from those who have done / do something similar with breaking up the travel down from Scotland / the north. was initially looking at Bristol / Gloucester area, not far off the M4? cheers
Trout Mask Replica
Hi... New here but joined up so I can post. Mrs and I travel with motor home from the North East. Usually stay at a nice little place near Tewkesbury called the Little River Meadow Park, it's a caravan site and motorhomes are welcome. It's like the calm before the storm of the festival. Nice spot on the river Avon, canal boats going up and down, feed the ducks etc. Village is lovely, thatched cottages and all and there's a couple of decent pubs. It's got electric hookups, water, shower blocks etc. Just off the M5 and there's a Morrison's nearby for last minute stock up of booze n grub. http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=7917 Edited May 19, 2015 by Trout Mask Replica

vdub_monkey
We stopped at Adam Hensons (the ginger bloke off of country file) farm park in the Cotswolds last year on the way down. It was cracking especially for the kids and only about an hour or 2 from the festival. http://www.cotswoldfarmpark.co.uk/camping/ Edited May 19, 2015 by vdub_monkey
Comfy Bean
Were driving down from Glasgow and staying in the premiere inn at Worcester. 4 of us £39 for the room and kids get free fry up :-) Looks to be 2mins off the motorway.
