Well, it seems I'm in a similar situation. See dispatched my ticket on 14th May, and it hasn't arrived. Today I contacted Australia Post who confirmed they can see a record that the item was 'lodged' on 15th May (i.e. due to be put on a flight) and was expected by 19th May. They say it hasn't yet arrived in Australia. Terrific.

I've contacted See, who I'm fully expecting will tell me to wait and see if it will arrive, ignoring the fact that there's clearly an issue. I'll try Royal Mail but they've always been terrible at customer service from my experience, so I'm not holding my breath there.

I'm not too concerned - ultimately, if it hasn't been delivered, that's somebody else's problem and I'd expect to be able to collect at the box office (wherever that is), but I'd prefer for my original ticket to be located and delivered.

Sigh.

what a right pain in the arse - if you do have to collect it make sure they give clear instructions
there used to be a office near Red Gate { although security would be expecting to see a letter for you to be able to reach it } but have no clue if it has been moved
although they may use the ' Travel Enquires Cabin ' which would make sense as its the public side and its near Gate A
good luck

On 18th. Australia Post say it's still technically within their delivery timeframes (up to 29th) but that they'd usually have seen some indication that it's at least arrived at the airport by this point. I'm probably just over-panicking! The guy on the phone all but told me to calm down, haha!

my tickets were lost in 2013. the situation was even a bit worse as i got the notification mid-june and i live abroad (there was a thread on it somewhere but i cannot find it). discussing with seetickets was a bit of a pain in the ass but, and that's the most important thing, it worked out. they didn't send me new ones but i could pick them up on site (unfortunately that office was only open at specific times which made it quite inoconvenient with my flight etc).

tl;dr: similar thing happened to me, it all worked out ;). good luck, you'll be fine!

After reading this I've just checked my ticket is in it's super safe place...

A friend had her festival ticket arrive half burnt a few years back, turned out there was a fire in the sorting office luckily the festival left her in with a royal mail letter and half a ticket! (wasn't Glastonbury)

Well I don't have my ticket yet but I do have an update. Apparently it was put onto a plane to Melbourne on 15th May and has been stuck at Melbourne airport for over a week, held up by customs who haven't yet cleared it to pass to Australia Post. Depending on who I speak with at Australia Post, that's either unusual and requires chasing up, or can be standard with customs, who'll release it when they're good and ready. As far as I can tell, neither Royal Mail or Australia Post have messed up, it's just delayed at the border without any information given.

There's nothing I can do but sit tight and wait for now. If it hasn't arrived by the end of next week, I'll ask See to re-issue it and either send it via special delivery to a UK postal address, or have it available for collection at the site (preferably the former).

Brilliant news!! These threads always pop up this time of year and it makes you realise how rubbish Royal Mail can be.

Still 20 times better than those total fuck nuggets DX they used a couple of years ago!

Congrats Foxy and good luck Kali. This reminds me of the saga last year of that guy (I foget who) who put their ticket in an ultra safe place and forgot where it was and couldn't find it 2 days to go. Can't remember what happened in the end.
