Got my wrist band in the post today - already got the power bar

Just one warning don't fiddle with the toddle on the wrist strap as you can only tighten it not untighten it! Looks like I'm wearing the wristband for the next two weeks!

Hiya, does anyone know if the person picking up the power bar from the shop actually has to be the EE customer? Not that we're doing anything dodgy of course (wouldn't dream of it) but neither of us are EE customers so we've got relatives to order ours for us. Worried they may not hand them over as we're not the account holders. Hoping they won't give a toss as long as we have the code.

I picked up two today, both from my husbands contract, one code I had, the other I rang my husband and he read out to me. All they ask is for the code and the mobile phone number that the code was sent to.

This would have been so handy at Camp Bestival in the past 3 years when all you could hear was the screams of kids who had pulled it too tight and their little hands were going blue whilst panicky mums tried to find scissors!

The ee bar charged my iPhone 5 to 80% from dead.

Its not great.

I sold my wristband for £30 on eBay and brought a decent charger (see other posts) for £20odd.

Just picked ours up. No hassle at all. Just asked for the code and the last 3 digits of the number. Easy peasy. Ooooooh it's all coming together!!!

It is a disgusting waste of resources and money, yes. I tackled them about it on Twitter and got an utter moron from EE arguing back at me - he quite literally did not seem to understand my environmental and ethical concerns.

It's an Everyday Basics 20,000mAH External Portable Power Bank Dual Battery Charger. It's 20,000 mAH and my phone battery is 1200 mAH - ergo, a potential 16 full charges from it. It cost me £13.99 and it's still in regular use over a year later. No daily trips to replace it...I can't see why anyone would want to pay for the EE option which costs more and only gives your phone one full charge! (It has 2 USB sockets so you can charge more than one device at a time).

 

We've also got one of these and I cannot recommend them highly enough! Charges both of our phones at the same time and we don't have to waste time going to EE.. PURCHASE!
