Hi,

Are any of the people here attending Glastonbury 2015 and working with Workers Beer Company?

This is my first year working with them, and my first ever Glastonbury! To say I'm excited is an understatement! :-)

I would like to chat to anyone that will be working with Workers Beer Company, and any other people that have any advice on any must do's as well! :-)

Will

Hi Will. I'm sure glasto worker will fill you in, he's very knowledgeable.

All I'll say is you will have a great time.

My top tip is don't get too excited by any particular bands on the line up until you find out your shifts. Which, unfortunately won't be til you're there. This saves disappointment if you miss anything whilst on shift.

Feel free to pm or ask in this thread if you have any questions, queries or worries!

What group/charity/union are you representing?

I find it amazing that a Organiser would recruit someone and not pass on all the crucial details ' before they signed them up ' as its important that every Volunteer knows what its expected from them - sure they don't need to know all the details but enough to decide if its right for them.
In the past I would never place a new recruit at a large event until they got used to bar operations at a smaller event where I would have more time to explain things but due to the WBC concentration on Ireland { they had their first event this weekend at Slane Castle, Slane, Co. Meath } so skipping England this has reduced events this year.
anyway I have sent on the details that should have been supplied by his Organiser .

My organiser has given me as much details as he could, I have booked my transport, and spoken to the Workers Beer Company recruitment department who have all of my details, including my photograph for ma Pass.

I understand I will be working shifts, and I understand that I can't swap shifts. Details I am needing are shift times etc.

I have experience in bar work, and have done for a number of years. Although not on the same scale as a Festival event, I also have experience dealing with the public, have done for a number of years also as I am a Civil Servant within the SPS.
