Will i need to carry ID on me, or will there be a wristband system? for those over 18 but will no doubt be asked for ID

I would like to drink a beer without having to bring out the wallet etc

Essentially, while there has been a wristband system in recent years you can't rely on it, as it can be suspended at any given moment without warning.

Lock ups will give you a wrist band if you show your ID (helpful tip, just stick it in the lock up once you've shown it) but some bars don't accept it.

impossible to say as its not your ' actual age ' its how old you appear to a complete stranger ' in a split second '

There will be loads of people who get asked for ID who don't normally get asked in a local pub due to the fact that local pub will not be under the spotlight.

Local Trading Standards make no secret that they will be testing each bar { they do this every year } so bar staff are told not to take any chances which does mean more people will be asked for ID.

I'm well into my thirties and got asked twice last year. So I'd say take it just in case.
