NEED URGENT HELP

2 x Glastonbury tickets that I brought have been stolen and I would like to get them replaced. They were delivered on 9th of June and were signed for someone in the office. I went to collect them in the mail shelf on Wednesday and they had been taken. I'm having no luck getting anywhere with See tickets or Glastonbury. Have emailed. Filed a police report. Tweeted. Messaged through customer service on the Seetickets website. My friend has flown over from New Zealand especially for it - flights cost £1600. We both went last year and had an absolute blast, so really guttered these have been stolen. Any suggestions??

Do you know who signed for them? If not, get in touch with Royal Mail and ask them to tell you. That might give you a starting point to try and track them down. Also, is there any CCTV covering the mail shelf in your office? You could ask to view footage if there is.

Apart from that, don't give up with See and Glastonbury. Keep on their cases, by e-mail, Facebook, Twitter etc. and you might get somewhere.

Good luck!

I could be wrong but since you weren't the person who signed for them, and they were addressed to you, then technically see tickets are still responsible for them? There was a thread in the chat forum that someone's tickets were lost by Royal Mail and I am sure I heard that there? Have a look on that thread and see what was said exactly?

Hope they turn up :)

This is the tack to take. You have never received them due to a error on the part of Royal Mail - not delivering them to the addressee.

How your message is worded is key to getting any help. Don't ask for them to be replaced as the standard response (and in the T&Cs) is they don't replace tickets, and stolen tickets are the holders responsibility. So ask if they can help. That the tickets were left until the following day is info they don't need as a gut reaction could be that you were irresponsible for leaving them for a day - you should be presenting yourself as a wholly innocent victim of RM's error (which of course you are).

Tweet Seetickets, Glastonbury and Emily pointing out you're distraught, RM delivered to the wrong person and now they're missing, is there anything they can do to help? Hopefully that will open a dialogue with them, and emphasis in subsequent comms should be on RM's failure to deliver to you. Oh, and don't mention the 'mail shelf' - it sounds far too much like there is a standard system in place which you should have been aware of. If asked saying that the signee put it on a shelf is sufficient, but RM should never have allowed them to sign for it.

Good luck! :)

This is theft so if you have HR in your office raise a grievance as the tickets might mysteriously be returned if the thief thinks their job may be under threat of disciplinary action and subject to dismissal if the theft is traced to them. Good luck.

I usually email a company's CEO if I'm getting nowhere with their customer service dept. The CEO of See Tickets is Rob Wilmhurst - rob.wilmshurst@seetickets.com. You usually get a pretty speedy response from a directors' office.

Good luck.

That sucks!!!! I hope you get them back :( I've heard in the past that people have been able to pick replacement tickets up actually near the gates.... but fail to remember the situation!!

If you're totally screwed, two of our friends have dropped out due to breaking up (also sucks) so there could be two tickets there, Girl and a guy, if that's any help? Although I can't promise how effective this is, I've seen people rejected quite a lot at gates with tickets that don't look like them :(

Hope you find your tickets!! Have you tried tweeting Seetickets? Twitter usually gets things resolved faster!

My older brother lost his ticket in the CV fields last year.

The little portacabin office near the Hill of Death sorted him out.

They gave him a "special" wristband and a letter to help him through the gates.

And they took the piss out of him mercilessly!!

So I think you'll get sorted.

Also the next day he found his ticket in one of his wellies and managed to lose his "special" ticket.  :banghead:

Thanks you stiff, I am going to email the CEO, my friend has said that to go down take all my crime ref number, bank statements etc and proof of ID but do I go all the way down there to no avail? Surely they have a procedure in place, it was genuinely stolen inside my purse along with cash and cards- surely they have a heart, Glastonbury office were most unhelpful :(

Thanks guys x
