Which direction are you heading from? If you're coming from the South/East direction can certainly recommend a few good quality pubs, within about 15-20mins of the festival site.

North east, but to be honest I think we will drive down during the day and have a little look around a few of the villages in the area, rather than come down the motorway and miss everything. Any recommendations gladly accepted!

Wells is a nice place to look round and has some nice pubs and cafes too. Swan is the well known pub where a fair few bands stop during the festival but others are good too

Can also act out scenes from Hot Fuzz too

The Chapel in Bruton is definitely worth a nose, good food, sometimes a bit of a wait though.

Try the George Inn at Croscombe. Very good place to eat, friendly locals and lots of choice. Only about 10 minutes from the site.

We drove through Bradford Upon Avon last year looked beautiful and there was a few nice looking pubs can't comment on them mind as it was a place to be stopping with a caravan in tow.

If you decide to go into Glastonbury itself, I can recommend The Hawthorns on Northload Street. His curries are to die for
