Oxfam stewards campsite

Anyone know how full the campsite is likely to be by the Tuesday night.. Wish I'd have booked to go down on the Monday now so we could get a good spot after the info that the oxfam blog has said today as they basically suggested it's going to be very busy by Tuesday afternoon

It'll be busy, but that word needs to be considered in context of what space you're comparing it to, and what space you're looking for.

A "busy" Oxfam Field will still be way quieter than any of the more popular Public Fields on the main site. I know a group that arrived about 5pm Tues last year and still managed to find space for 3 or so tents together towards the back of the field. If you're just trying to set up a single 2/3 man tent then you should still be ok even if you don't get there till just before the registration deadline at 8pm.

Earlier you can get there the better- flag poles and gazebos are not allowed in the field due to electric pylons!

 

Also when you arrive (unless u arrive late evening) best to setup your tent first and then register as several hundred stewards will be arriving on the Tuesday

Also need to be in by 8pm so that you can register before 9pm when they close for the night.

I'm arriving tomorrow for oxfam as I have bagged the early shifts. Does anyone here know what the early shifts are like and how much you're likely to do?

I am told (never been on the earlys) still 3 shifts of 8 hours but there all the same , 3 nights , 3 mornings or 3 afternoons
