Will other clubs go near him now after this? How damaged is his legacy? He can't rebuild teams. This is now proven. He takes a season to get a team to his liking - few nice players in midfield and a bruiser thug of a striker - wins a few things and at the first sight of needing a rebuild things go tits up.

Will clubs go for a manager who has won premierships, serie a and champions league titles? I think that is a pretty easy one.

I don't think this season proves he is terrible any more than last season proved he was great.

Just looked at the beeb's footy page, and saw a headline "Klopp says title talk is 'crazy'" (which it is, based on just one match).

Tho I glanced across at the table, and noticed that Liverpool are closer to top of the Prem than Chelsea are to top 4, and yet I've seen loads of comments since yesterday's match which have suggested Chelsea will defo make top 4.

Meanwhile, in this run of "7 touch matches" for Liverpool that some went on about, results so far are unbeaten and eight points collected from 4 games - which is top 4 form. They've got Man City away in two games time, but after that they've got a run of games against mostly bottom-half teams till the end of the year that stands them a pretty decent chance of starting the new year in the top 4 (which, with all things being equal, in-theory means top-4 at the end of the season).

What I really want to know, tho, is whether Klopp is making much of a difference. There was nothing about how they played yesterday which I couldn't have seen Rodgers doing.

klopp could be the equivalent of a top footballer that Liverpool want, but lose out to a rival. I really rate him that highly. At present it looks to me like Liverpool and Spurs fighting for fourth and I always expect the latter to bottle it.

Im not sure sacking mou will achieve much, I'm not convinced there are serious problems there. To me it's a case of that bit of luck that went for the last season, going against them this. In a game of small margins that can be significant, but I feel if they ride it out, things will come together.

Liverpool needed that win. Obviously they needed it a lot less than Chelsea did but regardless, they haven't played well and they haven't been even close to top four material.

Top four will be City, Utd, Arsenal and Tottenham, I think.

Liverpool fifth and Chelsea 6th with us an incredibly mediocre 7th or 8th.

You say that as if 4th, 5th and 6th wouldn't be incredibly mediocre as well :P

I've not been convinced by Utd at all this season. If they finish 2nd this is the worst premier league ever.

Me neither. No fucking goals! Was watching the Class of 92 recently and the 99 CL final. "Can Utd score?... they always score".

So far from that now. Its simple aswell. Build up is too slow and theres no men in the box. Do well to get top 4 this season. Thats about the best of it.

United fans need to stop harping on about the Fergie years, we're starting to sound like Liverpool fans.

It's the way lvg teams play, slow possession football that will bore to death. His style has been complained about at his other clubs, this isn't going to change.

He has stabilized United and got rid of the dead wood and is building a very good squad. It's the following manager that will take it to the next level, for now United fans need to be happy with what he's building.

He is certainly not going to change the way he manages and plays the game.

The club was built on continuity. Fergie always said he took Busbys lead and ran with it. That creates a culture in the club. A culture thats been there since the mid 50s. Attack!

LVG should do similar. Its stable sure, but pretty boring and can easily be change with a little more commitment up front. Who wants to see 2 shots per game and nil alls every week? Fuck that.

Guarantee you he'll change tactics when the attendances start to drop!
