ThomThomDrum
His goal per game ratio is good (really good) at 0.6 goals per game. I think only the likes of Aguero in the PL can prob beat that. But the fact that he misses so many games his goal rate for LFC with respect to the amount of games he could have played is 0.3 goals per game...............Thats not worth €150K a week if thats what he is on
pink_triangle
It will depend on his financial demands, to me a club with liverpools attraction dont need to gamble at 150k a week, but reduce that below 100k and it may be worth the risk. Other clubs with less attraction may decide to gamble and I suppose it depends what his priorities are.

He also spends more time out injured than most players. And Liverpool could replace Sturridge and get all the same problems from the replacement, as well. Without knowing if there's any underlying medical issue the only right choice is to keep him and hope he's less injured in future, as it#s not the case that injuries in the past mean the same amount of injuries in the future. Of course they could, but its all got to do with probability and risk assessment (and potentially personality analysis if the club really wants to get into it). The probability of a new player being a sick note is far less than DS continuing to be a sick note so less risky, so if you persist with DS you need to decouple that risk somehow. I do get where you're coming from. How long can the club wait for a player? But I think, in this case, he's just too good a player to risk gifting another team when he might never get injured again for all we know. But you also have to take into account the effect all these injuries have cumulatively on a player. Core stuff aswell which is a worry. Hips, groins, thighs, hamstrings etc. You never really recover from them. Feel bad for him. Just hope he doesn't turn into another Hargreaves but Sturridge has basically been injured for 3 years now. DomDom1984
Liverpool need shot of him. Even if he DID come good, it'd be the right decision as he simply isn't worth that risk anymore.

I keep looking at their team and thinking they're too good to go down, but they're just so fucking bad. Villa, Bournemouth and Norwich/Newcastle, for me. Hopefully Newcastle stay up because I'd like to get to some games.
