Primal Scream, at least some of em, are already going to be there djing. Plus they could do Motorhead, their version is grand.

Toured last year n year before. Believe they are currently writing new songs.

James would nail it but no way will they get the chance. Will be seeing them at Kendal this year on the Thursday night. They sold separate Thursday night tickets and it's sold out.

Also saw them playing their tunes in Glasgow a few years back with a choir and orchestra, again sold out. Incredible night, Tim is a great front man.

One of our most underrated bands in my opinion. Were gonna miss them when their gone ;-)

 

Im a massive James fan, as much as I would love it to be the case they aren't a sub-headline act for a festival the size of Glastonbury, but in a scenario where there is a week to go and they need someone to fill in, then they would answer the call (they are desperate to play).  I am of the (biased) opinion their live show would convert many people and I have taken quite a few friends who have been sceptical but come out of the gig having enjoyed themselves.

 

They won't get a call (Glastonbury bookers don't favour them anymore) but they could push 3rd down up to sub and stick James in there (or further down).  I can but hope

Pet Shop Boys were great a couple of years back on The Other Stage. Would make Friday a nice mix

Pretty much has to be tomorrow or Saturday. Monday would be too late as they need to have the right set times in the programmes which are distributed out on the Monday/Tuesday.

i think people are forgetting that this isn't a regular sub booking and that the festival has literally got to take whatever it can get, so if an act isn't quite big enough to sub that doesn't necessarily mean that they won't be the sub that we get. i'd rather the festival booked an act who hasn't played recently but isn't quite sub size rather than book bloody Elbow again

They could easily just put the allocated set times in the program with a TBA in the slot.

 

It'd be an interesting one, no back drop on the Pyramid and turn up and find out who it is. Personally I think given that her set was tampered with a bit as well, Lily probably deserves the chance for a full show likes Rudimental didn't get. I know it was only a few songs short but so was Rud.

About as realistic as James subbing. Foals couldn't even sell out the Pilton Party last year.
