Sub to be added?

I loved Holy Fire when it was released but went off it a bit shortly afterwards. Not much between it and Total Life Forever for me but it probably just edges it. Inhaler, Providence and Milk & Black Spiders are some of their best songs. Antidotes was the one I found hardest to get into and I'd say it's their weakest. It's definitely not indie landfill though.

Faith No More have replaced Foo's for Werchter. Why oh WHY are they busy on the Friday?! What a replacement that would have been.

Not booked? There can't be a shortage of bands who'd like to fill that slot.

Maybe it's a massive surprise and they're creating excitmenet before unleashing someone extraordinary onto the line-up.

Given that Werchter just announced their replacement for Foo Fighters and that gig is Thursday, I guess we should here by tonight or tomorrow afternoon at the latest. That's IF they are planning to announce anything/actually have anything to announce.

Royal Blood are also busy on the Friday aren't they? Such a shame, we could have had FNM and Royal Blood if they weren't busy!

 

Any chance of one of those guys playing early in the afternoon before travelling to their other gig? FNM could play at like 1pm and everyone else could bump up a bit. Wishful thinking of the highest order, but it could explain why the announcement is taking so long?

Edit 2: It's just a 2 hour flight to FNM's other gig in Sweden from Bristol airport. If their set doesn't start until 9/10pm in Sweden, they could definitely do both. I've got so many straws in my hands right now...

There could be all sorts of logistics to sort out, which is why we haven't heard anything yet. Mebbe Em's got a killer sub but they can only play earlier in the day so she's having to see if other acts can move their times to accommodate, etc. We can only imagine the complications that could ensue (with hilarious consequences, of course, otherwise this wouldn't be a decent sitcom).

 

Really hoping we hear something before we're on our way, coz if Pyramid timings change significantly my well-laid plans for Friday will be in the first oversized waste tin I stumble into once on site...

Yeah sounds about right. I'm so impatient.

 

Anything could happen, which is part of why I love the festival, the unpredictability

 

(IOW would probably have thrown the chequebook at Blur and kept Florence where she was).

 

It'll more than likely be Kaiser Chiefs filling in - which will enable us to debate over who should have played the slot for a few weeks after the festival.

I think its Elbow....they are headlining Kendal Calling who have a ticket resale tomorrow. Perhaps they can only announce after that sells out? James are headlining too but they're playing all over the place so can't imagine there's the same restrictions in place
