Hey, new to the forums and basically joined to get some info on the potential sub as I wasn't sure at all if Emily Eavis had actually confirmed there will be one (or more than one) filling the gap between Motorhead and Florence....From the above comments it seems like people are losing faith so is there a real possibility no one will fill in at all/a rejig of other bands already at the festival, or has there been some kind of official word from the festival organizers about what's likely to happen? Cheers guys and gals.

I was hoping for a replacement too but I think that its not happening now. The introduction implies that this is a very recent interview, if there was a replacement getting booked surely it wouldve at least been partially sorted by now. I think that the only way we will see a "replacement" now would be for one of the secret acts to fill in, bastille or the charlatans are rumoured to be playing friday, maybe one of them?

Think you're right mate. On the grand scale of things won't have any affect on the festival, but I would've loved an 11th hour line up announced shortly before leaving!

So why haven't they re-jiggered the pyramid stage times? 5 minute job to do and re-issue.

I still think there's an announcement today, no idea who though.

It doesn't make sense to me that there would just be a close to 4 hour gap on the biggest stage - isn't that just going to cause over crowding at the other stages?

Even if they can't get anyone new they could bump the Charlatans up to sub on the Other and move Mark Ronson over to the Pyramid? That seems simple enough assuming that The Charlatans aren't playing elsewhere in the evening.

I'm astounded that the 'biggest and best' festival in the world, with all their contacts in the music world, doesn't have a contingency plan for this type of issue. Surely there must be quite a few medium sized acts that would jump at the chance of a slot on the Pyramid stage.

So Rock Wetcher manage to get Faith no More and Royal Blood as replacements with the same amount of notice. Glastonbury get no one. Very poor effort.
