Sub to be added?

I'm not fussed about a lack of sub, but if they start dicking about with times this late and presuming the guide you get on the way in is out of date it could be a potential clusterfuck with crowds of people turning up half way through sets.

If they can't get someone else moving mark ronson from other to pyramid and leaving everything else as is makes sense to me. Means more people can see him and imagine he would please the type that spend all day at the pyramid.

The Florence crowd will probably like it, the Other crowd can move across to the Pyramid as there is plenty of room and everyone else doesn't give a fuck anyway because Run The Jewels and Caribou will be destroying the West Holts

FOO FIGHTERS WERE PLAYING ROCK WERCHTER ON A THURSDAY WHICH MEANS THAT THE NUMBER OF ACTS AVAILABLE TO THE FESTIVAL WAS HIGHER THAN GLASTONBURY AS A LOT MORE HEADLINE/SUB HEADLINE SIZE ACTS ARE BUSY ON THE FRIDAY THAN THE THURSDAY. WERCHTER HAVE DONE VERY WELL TO REPLACE FOO FIGHTERS WITH THOSE 2 ACTS, BUT WHY THAT MEANS GLASTONBURY SHOULD BE FOLLOWING SUIT I DON'T KNOW. FAITH NO MORE AND ROYAL BLOOD ARE BOTH BUSY ON THE FRIDAY BEFORE ANYONE PIPES UP ABOUT WHY WE DIDN'T GET THEM. YOU ALSO DON'T EVEN KNOW WHETHER OR NOT GLASTONBURY HAVE BOOKED AN ACT YET AND YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW BIG SAID ACT ARE.

The caps were entirely justified. To add to your point, Royal Blood were already playing Werchter on the Saturday anyway so its just a duplicate

I know music is all about opinions but this thread has been an eye opener at times. Some bands have taken an absolute panning, James in particular suprises me yet there's calls for Mark Ronson to be moved up... He is the pits, if he's subbing Pyramid times are very hard

For me the absolute best case with rejigging is ronson pyramid and all the other acts that day on the other getting longer as I'll be spending much of the day there!

I think the additional issue with Foos pulling out is the extra hour they were getting over the other headliners.

 

It's such a huge gap to fill, moving Mark Ronson across still leaves a lot of extra time plus a gap on The Other.

 

 

 

It's actually easier to book 2 acts for the Pyramid than it is to move even more acts about.

If it was an accident, edit it, or people will draw those conclusions. Obviously the caveat on the justification front is if it was a rant, then just stick to your guns, don't pussy out :-D

I do find it weird that there doesn't appear to be anything to replace Flo's sub slot. Interesting to see if the Pyramid crowd sticks around for c. 4 hours after Motorhead, or whether they go to other stages. I can imagine the sub spots for other stages will be a bit rammed if this is the case.

I know it's never going to happen, but a Foos acoustic / shortened set would make sense as to why it's gone so quiet. Especially as it looks like they won't just be booked to play next year as originally thought.

I don't know why this has irked me so much, I'm not even planning on seeing any pyramid acts on Friday, I'll be at west holts and then on to lamb. I think it's the lack of information from the festival as to whether they are trying to book somebody or not, and the fact all the other stages will be rammed.

Where they any good? I know it's different being there compared to tv/video footage but they sounded absolutely dreadful on the Sky Arts coverage of IOW.

Pretty certain he is- you can't fly in a full leg cast which is what he has by the looks of it... Also I think there's pics of him in the last couple days at some sw*nky restaurant in London...

I was hoping for a little 'secret' acoustic set somewhere..... Pigs might fly but one can dream!
