I loved it. The roar when Keith intro'd Satisfaction was the key driver in me ensuring I didn't miss out again last year.

Ive read both Keith and Ronnies autobiographies and they both talk about the ancient art of weaving their guitar playing, I thought it was all bullshit but boy was I wrong. Some of the guitar interplay between them was pure magic.

I always take watching festival shows on TV with a pinch of salt. Nothing can portray atmosphere. Plus the fact that your position in a crowd can influence how good a peformance is shows that TV is a flawed look at live gigs

Quite surprised that they haven't at least put some sort of announcement out, to show the re jigging that's been done. I'm gonna assume that the printed programme for Friday will not have the most up to date info, but what about those who have already left or are leaving pretty soon?

Sorry but does it really matter if one act isn't on the programme? Reading through this thread im amazed how angry some people (not yourself) are about it not being announced.  People need to enjoy themselves more than worrying about one act over the whole weekend

I dunno man, I thought it was completely awesome - atmosphere and show was completely electric.

....but Keef barely plays!

It isn't just a case of one act not on the programme, set times could potentially change, bands starting earlier/later than billed

The atmosphere the whole of the Saturday running up the Stones was electric

This. Absolutely.

The atmosphere from the moment when Elvis Costello kicked off 'Oliver's Army' right through to the end of the Stones was genuinely wonderful. The only similarly wonderful atmosphere was the Sunday in 2009 which built up gloriously from midday onwards and peaked so breathtakingly during Blur. The only day I've ever spent my whole day at the Pyramid and one of the happiest of my life.

Some people really need to get a grip. Its one act on the bill. It more than likely will be someone already playing elsewhere anyway. Don't worry about it and enjoy yourself.

Still, it's very strange that they've announced nothing. Even when Florence was shifted they were saying 'new pyramid times soon', and here we are the day before the fest with no idea. Could it realistically be that they're going for a secret thing?

I don't think its strange, they're probably not too fussed about announcing it as people from the media will want to talk to them and they're busy. This way its an eaiser life when they'll have shit loads to do.

By pure virtue that the band is playing underneath Florence, they won't be an exciting booking. Probably best not to worry about it.

But having seen Fleetwood at the o2 I can safely say that I would go out of my way to see them at a festival in the future. Would be something special in a massive field

Yeah - a little tinkering with the setlist would see them safely smash it.

(They finished in Glasgow with Silver Spring - a great, great track, but not really that well known by the general masses).

I wouldn't be at all surprised if they rocked up somewhere and did an unannounced secret set somewhere.

I'm hoping for this. I've bored my mates sh@tless with my hopes and dreams about this! You can do an acoustic set sat down right??? Come on Dave...

And yeah, they're still in London. I stalk them online.... Thanks Daily Mail!

It might just be as simple as delaying while they undergo negotiations / risk assessments, insurance and so on for Foofles to do a sub-headliners show - and for Foo to decide whether he feels up to it or not.

Would be great if so, but I'm not holding out hope!

Completely agree with both of these. Arguably the best two days I've had at Glastonbury! Heard rumours that a big chunk of stalls and food vendors closed up shop and went to see The Stones? Can anyone verify?

Not much on for me on The Pyramid this year really but different horses for different courses.

I know music is all about opinions but this thread has been an eye opener at times. Some bands have taken an absolute panning, James in particular suprises me yet there's calls for Mark Ronson to be moved up... He is the pits, if he's subbing Pyramid times are very hard

Some people are more concerned about size/relevancy/the slot than a good show. James are a great festival band that would do the business and get the crowd going. But people are right, they're a bit past their prime in terms of fame and don't really connect so much with the current 20-something's (at least until they see them).

Whereas Ronson is naff but has more fame / star quality. Most people here won't be watching the band in that slot anyway, so they'd rather have a 'name' that makes them feel like they got their monies worth, than an actual solid act.
