Which car parks / gates involved walking down that big hill?

I ended up there once and don't want to do it again! Is that East or West?

 

And would you know which gate is best to get to Dairy Ground?

The hill is next to gate C and the East campervan fields, you want gate D for Dairy Ground and will need to approach the festival from the Glastonbury side.

I would use M4/A46 to Bath...then A36/A39 South West from Bath to Wells...at Wells head South on A39 towards Glastonbury from which road you will then be directed left through Launcherly and North Wootton villages to come out on A361 West of the site and into West parking.

If you have to use M3 then I would say M3/A303 and off at Deptford onto the A36 heading North West....head to Frome then take A362 towards Radstock/Midsomer Norton/Farrington Gurney.....at Farrington Gurney you can pick up the A39 to Wells as above. Bit of a loop to avoid Shepton Mallet and approach from North West but maybe less painful than trying to do it by looping round from South West.

Do people queue up at gate C like they do for gate B or does it get really busy? Gate B had a massive queue last year

at 08:00 when they have let all the car parks thru, it is a huge queue.. but later on it isnt so bad.
