Best time to arrive

Hi all,

 

Im sure this has been asked many times but its mine and a friends first time going to glastonbury. We are most likely going to drive up on thursday morning. Just wondering, what it will be like in terms of finding a place to camp as well as the traffic around thursday morning? Are there any camping spots you would recommend when arriving on thursday morning?

 

All help will be appreciated.

the later you arrive, the less of a chance of a more central camping spot.  which isnt a massive deal, just means you will have a little more walking to do during the course of the festival...there will be plenty of space still on thursday But some of the more central fields (pennards, big ground, hitchin hill etc fill up before Wednesday lunchtime.

 

the Campsite crews are excellent, and can guide you to areas that have plenty of space.

 

enjoy your first time, dont plan too much, dont spend all day at the pyramid or Other stage, and save yourself for night time

 

there will be no traffic, and you wont have to queue.
