I've never used 02 Priority before. I read something about joining a queue at 8.30am for tickets going on sale at 9. Is it reliable for getting straight through at 9 or is it still a F5 job like most gigs? Also, should i be shithot at 8.30 to join the queue?

I've used it quite a few times but I've never come across a queue?! Someone may say otherwise though. If you log in now, is the ticket link greyed out?

The links are greyed out. At the top of the page it says: '

The Libertines

For The O2, you can access the ticket vendor’s waiting room from 8.30am (does this mean the 02 arena?). Tickets for all shows are available to buy from 9am

I can't decide which one to go to out of Glasgow and Manchester. I was swaying with Manchester with it being a Saturday and probably a better day out because of that, but Glasgow is slightly smaller (although still a horrible massive arena), and with it being a Thursday I will still have a full weekend to look foward to when I get home. Has anyone been to both of these venues? I'm assuming they are both horrible.

Be interesting to see how quick this tour shifts and if the large demand is still there, album only went in at number 3 which i was surprised about!

Yes, I was expecting the album to sell better than it did. I do think they tickets will get snapped up very quickly though - still a hell of a lot of love for the boys out there, and it's the first 'proper' tour they've done since reforming.

Friday will tell...

Bloody glad I came on here!  I got an e-mail from O2 this morning saying pre-sale tickets on sale tomorrow, clicked on the link and it had the date confirmed as 24th Sept.  Checked out this thread and saw that people had got them so I was thinking wtf, anyways I've have now realised that pre-sale is different to O2 priority, fortunately managed to get tickets, phew!

can only speak for manchester but i find arenas are as horrible as where you stand. Get near enough to the front and its fine. You'd be surprised how many come late / stand at the bar / stand by the sound desk talking at gigs in Manchester so get in the mix and don't turn around and it'll be fine.

the sound is good there anyway - never had a bad one sound wise. Though Im sure the Libertine's mix will test that in January if Glastonbury is anything to go by!!

Though from what I hear of Scottish crowds, the atmosphere will be miles better in Glasgow... Manchester may be full of a mix of long bearded real ale drinkers in checked shirts dancing "ironically" and absolute scallies starting fights but not really getting into the music.

Seen them a few times in Glasgow Barrowlands and it's always been chaotic, but that's as much to do with the venue as the crowd, I don't see the hydro being as good, I'm going to give it a miss anyway

Its no match for the barrowlands but I like the hydro and actually prefer the sound there over somewhere like the abc or the academy, the Morrissey gig earlier this year was great.

Any links greatly recieved as i'll be looking to stay down the night!

No, someone else booked it. We were in some sort of hostel, booked an entire room for 4 of us and ended up with 8 beds. We played "the floor is made of lava for an hour before we went out.

If you walked out the BIC, turned left, and left again, you go up a hill and there are a few cheap places just there, maybe half a mile from the venue
