Everything Everything at William's Green

I saw them at Kingston last week & after not listening to their stuff for a while I’d forgotten about No Reptiles - once again a real moment when they played it at the end of their set. 
New album sounding decent after a couple of listens

I saw them in Norwich in April and they were fantastic as always.

Such a good band and the new album is fab. would love to see them on the farm again soon.

I'm holding out an outside hope they could be there this year, if not then surely a shoe in for next year.

The did a reddit AMA the other day and mentioned the Williams Green gig as a 'We've made it' moment.

Their Other Stage set is still a stand out set for me - i lost my phone in the blues the night before and get a phone call from a security guard during their set who had picked it up and called my mate who was trying to find it for me!

Also remember it very well. Great show to start the festival.

Hearing a tent full of people belting "JUST SOFT BOILED EGGS IN SHIRTS AND TIES" was both hilarious and oddly uplifting

It was on Saturday 😄 don;t know about you but I started the festival much earlier

I'm 99% sure it was Williams Green, Thursday 2017. They were the special guests. Maybe I'm thinking of another time. I'm fairly sure they've played WG more than once.

That time definitely wasn't a Thursday as they had already played their main set. It may have been down as a special guest slot but if it was it was pretty well known before they came on because I remember chatting to someone before they came on about how much we were looking forward to seeing them.

WG Saturday afternoon in 2015 after they'd already played T'Other Stage on the Friday was the No Reptiles moment.

They did play WG on Thurs in 2017 and they did actually close with No Reptiles, but it's not the moment that's being discussed.

They did play WG on Thurs in 2017 but I doubt they played No Reptiles, and even if they did it's not the time we're talking about.

Ah I got you. 💯 crossed wires. I did the 2017 show not the 2015. All I know is they played reptiles at the end and everyone went loopy. Somewhat gutted to have missed the big moment in 2015. That sounds like it was mental

I've edited above after checkling setlist. I was at 2017 as well but things usually get hazy on Thursday evening!

There's a link to the video in this thread, but the applause went on for a good 2-3 minutes after the song ended (that time in the middle of the set)

Saw them last night promoting their new album (which is phenomenal, by the way) and had a photo taken with them, lovely boys, unfortunately I was too star struck to ask if they might be playing Glasto! They listed it as one of their best memories in the Reddit AMA a few days ago so I'm holding on to some hope.

 

This is my first Glasto - what's the situation with music on the Thursday night? It's not on posters or TV or anything right? Reason I ask is I'm sure EE played back in 2019, but only on a Thursday night in a smallish venue, and presumably just puntered the rest of the fest. Couldn't find any details on what they played or any videos at the time! Curious if they'll do the same this year if they aren't on the lineup..

Usually two TBAs on William's Green on the Thursday but the other acts are listed.

Lots of stuff in Williams Green and always 2 TBC acts in the evening - keep an eye out here as they are usually known by the day.
 

Lots on elsewhere on the smaller stages on a Thursday night, right across the site. 2019 we had the best night of the whole weekend on the Thursday on a massive wander across the site - started late afternoon and went into the early hours - Williams Green, Avalon Cafe, Croissant Neuf, the Glade, Glasto Latino, Sensation Seekers, Icon, the Cave, the Temple, god knows where else. One of my best ever nights at Glasto!

Absolutely agree with this. 5 time visitor and plenty on Thursday. Just wander around and find what you find.  It's the essence of the place for me

Absolutely loving the new album, it might be their best yet. Really hoping to catch them.

Don't remember that year on WG, might've missed it. Or if it was the same year when Kesha and Boy George played SIlver Hayes then I was there instead. I was at EE headlining(?) the JP that year though.

They played WG on Thursday in 2017. It wasn't announced beforehand but rumoured on here so we pretty much knew it would be the them. 

They also played WG in 2015 which is what this thread is all about. They played twice once in the other stage and once at WG.

Williams Green is a small stage,  it is if surely focused on indie music.  On Thursday nights they have a couple of bands play who aren't announced, usually bigger than "should" be playing that venue. It gets really busy for those slots as it usually leaks before hand on here and so if you want to be in the tent go early before the first band.
