Stayed on site Monday until about 6pm and the whole place was pretty much empty apart from all the abandoned tents in Dairy. It really was disgraceful. It looked as if some people just woke up and walked off with nothing but the clothes they wore. Shocking!

I looked up whiteys on Wikipedia, and apparently it's not all to do with strength.  Food, hydration, tiredness can all have an effect as well.

 

Interestingly, those who have low blood pressure due to high levels of physical fitness can also be affected.  So I'm running with that one.

In Liverpool "taking a whitey" is when you smoke too much weed it makes you go green/white and sweat like a monster and maybe even when its mixed with alcohol.

 

Or like me when you eat too many space brownies!  :sick:

So much for luck o' the Irish eh HMV!? We were about halfway in between the toilets and the info tent on the left hand side track by the bushes across from arcadia!

 

Where were you?

 

Definiely more planning and less booze next year.....definitely..... :ninja:

Yep, that's the one.  Meant that it's not all down to strength of the weed but those other factors can affect it as well, so when you're hungry and dehydrated the weed can suddenly flatten you!

We were the other side of Arcadia not far from the shit chinese and 24 hour cafe. Have no idea how that tent were camped right by the ice cream van exhaust. Half way between the composters and the 24 hour cafe.

Think that Chinese / Cafe was the top of our field! Were you by the stewards and vehicle road heading towards the railway track?

Sensible approach Lucy!  99% of the time it's not a problem for me, but I did end up with some particularly potent stuff this year.  I normally manage to get lighter stuff that doesn't kill me, but didn't manage it this year.  It's all good.

 

At least that's what I told myself while I was staring at the clouds, listening to Charlatans and sweating like I was in a sauna!!

Smoke first and start the drinking afterwards thats the secret Lucy the ginger ninja, dont worry i,ll show ya next year,  :beach:  and if you don`t like ciggies i have a lil pipe i bought in the Bury last year that i clip to my man bag. hahahaha.

 

Was gutted i didnt meet ya lar i came home with loadsa disco biccies and Mattys Bourbons, use get double next time now!!!

Seen Vintage Trouble support AC/DC on Wednesday night. Very impressed. They didn't quite get the crowd going as most were there for Angus & co. but I really enjoyed them. The singers like James Brown!

Take it you didn't see them on Holts last week Pen?  Bloody amazing.  Check their set on iPlayer, and skip to 32 minutes for the highlight.  Brilliant set.

I didn't unfortunately, was up at Father John and Mavis up at the Park. Never actually listened to them before and in hindsight I should have cause they're right up my alley. I think Holts is a perfect stage for them too

It really was.  I got lucky as I'd dozed off during Gregory Porter, and figured I'd get some food and stay around for VT.  I'd only heard their new album once on Monday, so didn't really know what to expect and it blew me away.  Made it up to the Park for Mavis as well; Gregory followed by VT and then Mavis was one of those perfect set sequences for me.  Plus I discovered Ferocious Dog as I wandered past the Bimble, so double win!
