NFR NFC 2016 - The Friendly Thread for Lovely People

Do Youth Hostels do cocktails?  I'm driving a birthday posse over to Whitby tonight, so no drinking till then. Also no chippy chips today, but chippy chips and fish tomorrow from somewhere in Whitby.

People have mentioned alternatives to the Magpie, but I never remember where they are, any suggestions for 'one of each' in Whitby, gluten free batter would be a bonus for MrsCJ too. Thanks!

Sunny in Leeds, it's a good start to the weekend :-) Hope everyone's got good plans for tomorrow?

Mr Jubb, I strongly recommend that you enquire via the Becketts Facebook Group in Whitby.

Friendly people, always happy to advise on chippy type matters and do great cake as well.

Right you lovely people.

I have just won a competition - I never win anything!!!!

Next week it is Larmer Tree Festival from Weds to Sun (15th to 19th) and I have 4 tickets available.

I have asked some people who if they say yes will come first but it is likely I will have at least 2 of these tickets available for use.

They include car park permit and camping (bring your own tent etc) and you can change to a live in vehicle if you want (free I think). You do not have to arrive on the Weds if you cannot get time off work but we would need to know.

So - who might be interested in tickets - free to a good NFR NFC home!!!

Just quoting this post again - in case anyone missed it.

That's really generous, but can I have a virtual ticket, so I can sit outside the CV in Leeds at the virtual festival and drink (real) beer in the sun, and still get stuff done at home (building work to prep for, so I can't go :-(  )?

Virtual tickets are available to everyone.

You need to drink beer and listen to Tom Jones

Please see below for your virtual ticket:

Crikey, that's even more secure than a Glastonbury ticket.

Thanks! I'm printing it off and saving it on my fridge (secure location for gigs), digging the hologram effect. I'm hoping security don't find my stash.

I have told them where you keep it.

They have ordered extra rubber gloves.

Awkward. MrsCJ is already looking forward to helping out on this bit :O

If anyone on here has family or friends they think may be able to use the tickets please do ask them.

All I care about is they get used if possible.

Have you tried the evil FB?

I saw a friend this afternoon who has a "show" at Larmer Tree, look out for "The Original Selfie Show" :)
