Asking as someone who doesn't really know much about T, but considering going this year, how are the stages set out, where do the slots on the stages rank as well? Like, at Leeds there's the main stage and the NME tent is basically the second stage where the headliners are pretty much equivalent to fourth or so down on main.

Main Stage tends to be mainly current charty pop acts during the day, with the big headliners at the end of course. The last two years, there has been a kinda co-headliner thing going on on Saturday - devised cause of the extended license they got at Balado but not Strathallan - which appears to be gone. R1 headliners tend to be about 3rd Main/Sub size, but it varies. R1 Stage is outdoor and, at Balado anyway, was a lot bigger than the R1 tent at Leeds (not been to Reading). Tut's traditionally has more alternative headliners, and is a smaller tent that holds about 7,000 I think.

Ah cheers for explaining. Is there like a dance stage or something as well?

Not good enough for me at the minute. Totally spoilt  by wasting high spots on the likes of Tiesto. Probably gonna be cancelling and losing my deposit. Travis being the most attractive Saturday headliner was bad enough, without then giving Tiesto a high Sunday slot.

Leeds is looking the strongest atm in my opinion

T easily for me, juat going based on day wise it is Download Sunday but weekend wise I'm not sure what's worse out of Download and Leeds...

The fact I would see RHCP, ID and Skindred probably gives Leeds the edge but I'm not that fussed by any of them now.

Erm yeah they did

not in any publicity materials the festival sent us, and not in anything on the festival's own website - nothing saying "UK festival exclusive".

I've no idea what publicity materials other places might have got, tho I think it's unlikely they would have said anything different.

It was a cop out from the start with the wording of Festival exclusive. No qualifier like English, UK or Europe. It's been the case before where UK exclusive only meant English Exclusive. I don't know why they bother.

That was on their YouTube video on the r&l account, it's still there

Just done a google search and it seems the final names for 2015 came on 26th March. They usually follow the same pattern don't they? So I'll hold out until then before making a final decision.

If they announce a decent 2nd lot it could turn out to be an alright looking fest.
