I would love to see Elton perform at Glasto. Not just because I am from and support Watford but it helps!

 

Great back catalogue, could easily do the 90 mins and everyone know all the songs, would be perfect.

 

Doubt Glasto could convince him though, I reckon £££ will be a dividing factor.

 

How much does he get for playing places like Doncaster, Colchester and Walsall to <15,000 people?

Come off it, people who like him enough to see him at a festival which they are already attending and people who will pay whatever the price is to see him at his own show are two different things. He'd pack the field out.

Elton John, with little competition on the other stages (as seems to be the case now) at 4:00pm would have the field heaving.

 

Elton headlining, not so much...

 

He drew a pretty huge crowd at Bestival too, which had a much younger demographic.

Dolly and Lionel have a 1980s kitsch and ironic humour behind them that Elton doesn't. Like "ok fuck it for this hour Ill have a right laugh".

 

Elton started as a serious artist and turned into a full on panto act.
