they have got the date wrong for the Wed date at the O2 its the 22nd not 23rd

Where have you seen this? Would give me a bit more hope he's not doing it.

looking at the dates... could he be doing IOW as well?

Wouldn't have thought so. The bloke doesn't do festivals to start with, so for him to do IOW before his own tour starts would be odd.

If he's going to do anything, I think its the dreaded legend slot at G. Even though the tour ends on the Wednesday (Tuesday possibly?), he's notorious for doing TV shite around his tours. Did Strictly a year or so ago, one of many examples. So its not inconceivable that he'd do something like that and Glastonbury after the final date of the tour.

I thought Lionel wouldn't get much of a crowd this year, so it shows what I know. I suspect Wrong Bazza would also be a big draw.

I heard this the other week and actually found myself rather enjoying it as a piece of blue eyed soul:

Difficult to admit to: I've seen Manilow, about 20 years ago at the Manchester Arena, my wife loved him, he was better than I was prepared to accept at the time.

Can someone remind me when we heard about Lionel last year, was it close to the ticket day or after?

It was November bizarrely enough. End of. I know because I was on my way back from visiting my Lionel loving friend in Zurich and we'd joked about him maybe playing Glasto only hours before.

Seems to be a new tradition for getting the legends announced early. Dolly was too I believe. Although not as early as Lionel.

Dolly Parton was announced while the NME Awards was going on wasn't it? Because Emily had spoken to a lot of press about it and an official statement soon followed. Didn't get the video message that Foos did though.

Lionel was on a Sunday in November, the day before IOW's scheduled announcement of Fleetwood Mac. I don't know if that was coincidence or not considering Eavis and Giddings said there was rivalry for the Mac booking. :P

My mom is a Barry Manilow fanatic.  He was the first, second, third, fourth and probably fifth concert I ever saw.  Like clockwork, every summer he'd come to Detroit, and every summer we'd go.  This strikes me as a good omen for scoring tickets for my first Glastonbury.

I definitely have a legitimate appreciation for his work, although some of the shows I've seen as an adult have been kinda rough.  He can't quite move (his hips or his facial muscles) the way he used to.

What about Elton's hair? Is it time to put away the meerkat costumes?

Nothing would make me happier than to see a sea of meerkats afore the Pyramid, genuflecting in front of a giant scrapmetal Mutoid Mufasa.

As it stands, if #WrongBarry is playing then its botox injections all round to form a frozen-faced tribute to His Imperial Inexpressiveness.
