I know I won't be alone here but this idea of holograms of dead people being a concert draw is whack beyond belief, right?

Anyone who pays money to see a projection of Whitney Houston singing from beyond the grave deserves to be kicked out of the club forever.

And they're not even holograms - they're just projections onto a glass screen. Shite.

As I implied a couple of pages back, I suspect that the paying public aren't going to swallow it.

Fine as a gimmick for a couple of songs at a festival, but I suspect that the promoter for this Whitney Houston venture might well take a bath on it given that there probably wouldn't even be that much demand for a live version.

I'm not so sure. I just think Whitney isn't the best choice for beginning the awful trend. I'd guarantee a MJ hologram concert or someone of a similar standing would absolutely sell out.

They've been doing it with Elvis Presley concerts, haven't they? Not holograms, but simple projections. If that's doable, a hologram option would be better, no?

Simply not doable, and if anything we're years away from that kind of technology. Honestly, a look-a-like lip-syncing would be more convincing, but somehow I don't think that would sell the same kind of tickets.

Taking an inebriated sojourn into Maniloworld.

A few things stick out:

a) My dad played a heap of #WrongBazza when I was a wean, so even if I've not heard a lot of this since I was about 9 and it's often a bit wack, a lot of it appears to be hard-coded into my DNA.

B) With the necessary caveat that they're probably shot to fuck by now, the younger Bazza was in possession of a fantastic set of pipes - warm, soulful and dextrous.

c) Weekend In New England is a bit of a tune.

d) If he actualy does play and then wheels out Read 'Em and Weep then it's #PyramidSteinman o'clock like you can't deny it and I'm all over it like an octopus.

Speaking of Elvis, its such a shame he went down the Vegas route. Would've loved to see old bluesman Elvis. Elvis playing solo acoustic blues in small venues.

The boy could play!

Anyone who likes Jimmy Reed is ok by me.
