Paramore and QOTSA

Paramore have toured the absoulute hell out of their last album so I expect them to have a couple of years off.

They have in the states but not over here, I think Hayley's said they're writing again but I don't expect a new album will be out till spring next year at the earliest, but probably later. Same with Queens of the Stoneage really, I think either one of them might headline around 2018 at the end of their next album cycles.

I'm sure there were people who didn't care much for them who started to like them more when the new album came out? Think that might have been more than a year ago though, actually.

Yeah their latest album was decent. Even you liked Future, I think. Was just over 2 years ago that came out. 

 

Plus they smashed their headline set.

I think it's more that people felt Paramore were deserving of an actual headline slot, unlike Blink 182.

They were actually enjoyable before QOTSA and bit on a decent set, especially with all the sound problems taken into consideration.

Either way I thought both them and Queens would've been better headline bookings than Blink 182 way before the festival.

I doubt it, the PR cycle for Queens' last album was about as big as it's going to get and it just about got them to co-deadline status, they won't build on that. They'll go back to playing academy venues and only getting played after 7pm on Radio One.

 

Paramore are more likely to chase a headline slot but are they going to build on their status? The lead singer is a Gwen Stefani experiment waiting to happen, although maybe a solo career and band hiatus might increase demand for them five years down the line. Can't see it though.
