I'm not entirely sure how much long term planning goes on, but plenty of smaller changes get made thru a natural yearly evolution, where a problem gets identified and an attempted fix is put in place for the next festival.

They've still not lowered the height of the urinals so are clearly not paying any attention to me.

Cider plus tip toes, not a good combo.

From what Emily has said to me, she definitely reads here. She can think it overly negative, but she's also commented about the 'knowledgeable people' here.

I can't believe she thinks we're negative.  That's just the kind of thing I'd expect from Glastonbury these days, symptomatic of the decline in the festival, can't even book the right bands, continue ad infinitum...:suicide:

to be fair, that's not something she said to my face, but something she said to someone who she knew was posting here - and it's a few years old now, too.

The 'knowledgeable' is from just over a year ago. It was something like "there's a lot of knowledgeable people posting there", and it was something she said unprompted.

I am guessing that my tongue was planted firmly enough in cheek to be noticeable!

I'd guess that in terms of volume we, as the 'community', only represent at best around 5% of the total audience for the Festival, but we are nonetheless a good cross section of the demographic, and as Emily has said there are some very knowledgeable people on here.

Given that I also wonder whether we have ever been used for market research purposes, whether obviously or not....it would very easy for a GFL representative to test the water for a potential change, improvement etc by posting an idea on here as a rumour etc to gauge reaction.

So, if anyone's reading this at Worthy Farm can we have Royal de Luxe in T&C next year please....!

You, Glastoworker, Tony to name but three have a silly amount of fests under your belts.

I remember an interview with Emily in *I think* 2009, where she said that she'd stopped reading forums because they were so negative and it just got her down.  Hoping that's changed now.

As someone else mentioned, facebook's glastonbury group is where the foul people have emigrated to.  I disengaged quite quickly, on the basis of it was making me feel bad about spending a week with those people and spoiling my somewhat rose tinted view of the festival.

I'd like to think that any organisation worth it's salt would be checking related web communities for opinion and acting on that information.

Regardless of how shit I think Taylor Swift is; the relentlessness of Lawn's Swift campaigning is to be admired.

Swift needs to make an appearance... For Martin Ashford, if for no one else.

Definitely agreement with Russy about more LSD. Thursday was a right laugh for me this year.
