they do this.

But not quite how you're thinking.

Web analytics? I'd be surprised if there wasn't far more to learn from this forum by analysing thread hits, word hits, even the seemingly innocent Up/Down Vote function....

What once was a chat round the farmhouse table starts to morph into Michael poring over a bank of screens....

I seem to remember to going to other festivals in the past, and days after if has finished they have e-mailed me asking me to vote on who I would like the headliners to be the following year. Imagine if Glastonbury did that.

the worst thing about it would be that it would be very unimaginative on an ongoing basis.

After all, russy would insist on nick cave headlining every year, and the nal would insist on tom waits every year too. :P

nick, tom and matt42? Ok, I'll go for that.

BST did that to me this year (after I'd got their crazy £2.50 tickets). The headliner threads on here meant I'd thought about the issue quite a lot! So if the BST lineup next year includes AC/DC, the Stone Roses and Prince, you can thank me... (or not if they're all exclusives!)

Aha soz lads. Great book aswell tho. Only 1/3 of the way through.

Steamed all the way through the book this weekend. Just what I needed at this moment of my growing infatuation of all things Dead. An overarching chronology that gives me the essential parts of the narrative and fills in the gaps as to what happened when. I reckon it's a bit lacking in analysis as to why some of the things happened, but yeah, I feel much more confident about them and putting stuff in order after reading it.

And I picked up a second hand copy of Wake of the Flood this morning.
