first time tips needed

So me and my friend are coming to Leeds Fest this year and it's our first time being at a festival. Just wondering where the best place to camp is? Any tips people can give to make the weekend a lot easier? AND is it easy to make friends because there is just the two of us but we would obviously love to make friends and spend the weekend with more people.

From going to the festival at Reading last year I would say get friendly with your neighbours but if your not sure about them, camp elsewhere when you arrive. I haven't been to the Leeds one so I'm not in any position to say which camp is best. I'm staying in orange this year which has a Tesco in, and isn't too far from the main arena. I'd say don't camp too far away from the arena as it can be a long walk otherwise. It would be easy to make friends, your all there for the music so that is a good conversation starter. Don't camp near the toilets and take waterproofs with you. Buy an airtight bag to store your clothes in and a bin bag. All the best! Edited July 23, 2015 by Chris_Hayter88
