What does closing set mean?

Knife party are closing the NME? Not sure what this means? I asked this before ages ago but no one really answered it

It's a non-headlining act that closes the stage. Usually a dance act or DJ set or something.

So does that mean that Knife party arent the closing set? After they play, someone else will take over?

It means that Limp Bizkit are the actual headliners of the stage that day, they'll get the longer set and the better production etc that comes along with a headline set however they're on 2nd to last. Knife Party will be closing the act in the tent, as in they'll be the final act on the stage, they are not the headliner however and will potentially have a shorter set time than Limp Bizkit

A closing set means they are the last act on as in they are closing the tent
