Has someone said Bastille are headlining?

No but with Quimby subbing, and Bastille headlining Pukkelpop last year, it could be likely... A day (not) to remember.

I'll buy you a beer for your birthday if you want to watch M83 or Noel.

Nobody but Quimby have never played earlier than 19:30 at Sziget cos they're pretty big in Hungary. They even headlined day 0 in 2013. That's why I (sadly) put Bastille as the headlining act. Last year they also headlined Pukkelpop. :(

I can't see Bastille headlining. I really can't.

It seems to be they've been announcing one headliner per announcement... Guetta, Muse, Sia...

Bastille second from top, but not headlining.

I will be watching Noel and by god I'm not missing M83 for anything so yes.... Beer.

Great to meet a big fan!

Maybe Quimby will headline another stage... or play at 17h45 with a smaller headliner on that day (Biffy Clyro do you hear me???)

I'm remembering now that last year Bastille also headlined Volt...

Man Biffy Clyro in 2013 were mind blowing. One of the best concerts of that week. The only concert that was better than Biffy's one was Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. But Nick Cave...I'd sell my soul to have him again!

Alternativa is full of space and shade. It's also in a perfect position for those who don't go to bed when the sun is high as does not have any stage with a night program. Also showers and toilets are pretty clean. :)

Thank you for the information. Do you know the location of the siesta camping? Im more interested in this one as it is not a themed camping (alternativa is italian themed and apero is french themed) I could find more international people. But the thing you said about the alternativa is interesting as I am getting old and dont party tilll the morning every day so not having night program stage in the area its something I could consider :-p

Wait wait, is not "themed", it's just managed by Italian and French's organizations, but both Alternativa and Aperò are international campings! Everything's in english as well :)

Anyway Siesta camping is located not far from the Colosseum. That might be a problem if you usually go to sleep at 3-4 cos the Colosseum's techno goes on till 6. Alternativa and Aperò are far from big stages with a night program. I'd choose Alternativa for sure if I had to go to an upgrade camping as I've seen it and it works well.

Haha "themed" might not be the word. What I meant is if they are managed by italian and french, most of the people would be italian and french, woundt they? (sure will be pople from other nationalities but I expect most of them being ita/fr) I dont have anything against italian and frech of course but I dont speak their languages and I prefer people from everywhere :)

I will think about it, cause having the Colosseum close its sure an issue :-)

This order was posted on the Sziget Facebookpage yesterday.
Noel Gallagher (no headliner) is standing before Bastille. So hopefully Bastille is not the headliner (just hoping :))

Muse * David Guetta * Sia * Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds * Bastille *Sigur Rós * The Last Shadow Puppets * John Newman * The Lumineers *Sum 41 * Parov Stelar Band * Nicky Romero * Crystal Castles * Years & Year...

Yes That would make sense :)

Muse, Guetta, Sia > Headliners;

Noel, Bastille, Sigur Ros, TLSP > Sub-headliners;

John Newman, The Lumineers, Sum 41 > 3rd down main stage;

Parov Stelar, Nicky Romero, Crystal Castles > A38 headliners (maybe telekom for Nicky)

I don't understand how TLSP could be subheadliners of the end show. Are they that popular abroad UK ? Since the end show was established, we got bigger bands for subbing (Franz Ferdinand, Outkast, Limp Bizkit). I would see them third down main stage, unless they have a big big act for the end show...

Noel, Bastille, Sigur Ros as sub headliners are very probable.

Hope to see sum 41 as third down main stage with a big band subbing Guetta.

I wonder if some Sziget vets can give me an idea about transport.  The CityPass doesn't seem like amazing value to me. I need to get from the airport to the festival but then other than that I think the amount of transport I will need is limited. I imagine I will spend most of my time in the festival rather than travelling around Budapest. There are four of us and so sharing a taxi from the airport will surely be better value for money than the CityPass?

Does anybody know if you can get the direct shuttle  from the airport to Sziget without buying the CityPass and if so how much it is?

Thoughts appreciated.

The 13 days city-pass will end on the 18th of august, so it will be useless if you plan to visit it on the weekend after..

The two times I arrived to Budapest it was by bus so i won't be able to answer to you, but I know that there are shuttle buses from the airport to the festival.
